Recommended by our hotel, this small restaurant is owned and run by Italians, and judging by the table turnover, is very popular with locals and tourists.

We both had pasta, after a week of Greek salads and grilled meats - a welcome change, and very well cooked and presented.

They also do pizza, and the takeaway counter was ticking over well. Give it a try if you are in Firostefani... a booking will get you an outside table, otherwise it's inside; either way you won't get a view of the caldera.

We had bruschetta then gnocchi and pasta. The bruschetta was a small portion and wasn't up to scratch. No olive oil, no garlic and no onion/shallot, so dry and disappointing.
Gnocchi in pesto better, as pesto was clearly homemade. Pasta Norma was passable, but insufficient aubergine to make it a really tasty dish.

When we place an order of pizza, we get something what was look like not pizza and there are not components what's we want. It smells like broth! In pizza was placed 2 very very small slices of ham and bacon(like 2x1 cm) and the size of pizza cake was 1mm!!! Cake was hard as rock and burnt. The cost of this ..... was 10 euro!!! It is shame for "Italiano" restaurant.

Very small restuarant located alongside the footpath that led to our hotel. The place is run by a family from Sardinia and the food is just typical Italian, simple but just great. Prices are reasonable. If you want to eat outside, you will have to book. We had bruschetta as a starter than my wife had a risotto and I had the veal saltinbocca followed by a panna cotta and proffetiroles. All the food was just great and it came to 47.5 euros including two cokes and an espresso. Maybe the decor needs a little attention.

Set just off the main path between Imerovigli and Thira, set down in a small courtyard, it is nice to watch people coming and going while eating a lovely meal. Very welcoming staff, offer of inside or outside seating (outside reccommended) reasonable prices and very nice food.

Due to size making reservation is advised but well worth it
Also does takeaway pizza which lots of people took advantage of while we were there!
