It's really hard to describe all the things that happened to us during our stay to Villa Notos...
First and foremost the owner lied to us that our studio will have a balcony. When we asked him to change our room, he told us that he couldn't change it and that he wouldn't do any reduction to the price.
Just for the record I'm Greek and my girlfriend is American so there was no language barrier.
He was EXTREMELY RUDE and he kicked us out of his property!Yes you heard it correctly. After he got our money he told us to get out and he didn't want to call a cab to catch our flight back to ATH.
The room was nice dont get me wrong but the owner is REALLY shady....

In response to the comments posted 26 October 2009, I would like to clarify that the studio in question is exactly as advertised on our website, where it is clearly stated that the superior studio is located on the ground floor and has a private terrace, not a balcony. I am sorry that this guest was disappointed, but this was a misunderstanding between himself and his sister who made the reservation. No lies were ever told and no misrepresentation was made. At Villa Notos we pride ourselves on service and integrity which is testified by our hundreds of satisfied guests. As it was impossible to change the guest's room, because the hotel was full, he was given the opportunity to seek alternative accommodation at no cost. Having decided to stay in this studio, I am highly surprised that he had an issue with the price that had been agreed. His attitude and attempt to avoid paying the bill, after he had completed his stay, were not reasonable and it is something I have never come across in the time that I have run Villa Notos. Whilst the hotel is happy to arrange transport for its guests, this is not an obligation and due to the manner of this guest's behaviour, I believe it was my right to decline on this occasion. I wish the reviewer all the best in the future.

My partner and I stayed at Villa Notos for two weeks in May. The studios occupy an excellent location in Adamas, which is the most vibrant village on the island with many excellent restaurants and also some great cafes and bars. We stayed in the superior studio, which is located on the ground floor and has its own private terrace and stunning views of the bay! Our ferry arrived very late, but the owner Mr. Ioannis was happy to wait up to welcome us to our room. The room was huge, beautifully furnished, immaculately cleaned every day, and the mattress was probably the best we’ve ever slept on! In previous holidays in the Cyclades we have stayed in many different hotels on various islands, but this year with a mind to finances we were seeking something which offered us value for money. And what great value for money it was!!! The island itself was stunning and the owner went out of his way to make sure we made the most of our holiday! The breakfast was simple but delicious and served on our terrace every morning… what a great way to start our day! He also arranged car rental for us and gave us great tips on all the beaches to visit etc… We were able to keep in touch with our friends/family (and unfortunately work obligations!) as the studios reception offers a comfortable place to work and fast wireless internet connection. My partner forgot her bikini, but fortunately the owner’s wife has an excellent clothes boutique with special discounts for Villa Notos guests!!! We had a truly great holiday and have already recommended Villa Notos to all our friends! Thank you Mr. Ioannis and Mrs. Eleni you are doing a great job and we hope to see again soon!

We are staying in Adamas and would have loved to been able to stay here but alas they were full. It's possibly the best location in Adamas - at a nice end of the town away from the main drag so nice quiet location, yet still only a 1 min walk to the heart of everything. Amazing views over the harbour / Lagada beach (which isn't really a decent beach at all). Looked like a great place that was good value. The gentleman that we found in reception was charming and helpful.

First of all, Villa Notos is located almost at the end of Adamas (a central small touristic village), which is the perfect location: in front of the hotel is a small bay (also in front of Lagada Beach Hotel) with beautiful water, but not with good sand; it is quite and all you can hear are sparrows in the dusk and dawn. If you like you can jump into the water and go back to your studio. We rented standard studio on 2nd floor with shared veranda and it was great, as expected. One tip: if you want direct sea-view, ask for superior studio: it is not superior by its size or equipment (compared to standard studio) but only because you got your own veranda overlooking the sea and of course, price is a bit higher (but it is worthwhile). The room was spacious, perfeclty clean (towels changed every day, sheets every 3 days), air condition excellent, bathroom amenities new, furniture new -in traditional style - very sweet. The only complaint is about the bed, which was extremely hard/unconfortable, but it was not a disaster. In front of the room is veranda where you can eat salads, drink wine and it's hudge enough for two couples (from two studios) without disturbing each other. We stayed 15 days and it was a bit too long for this island: with rent-a-car we explored the whole island several times. The owner Ioannis was very kind and helpfull with all kind of information. regarding the island, I must say that there is a very strong wind blowing from WSW but fortunately best beaches are on the opposite side of the island, so you can enjoy in crystal clear water and beautiful sandy beaches collecting colorful stones all around. Main city Plaka is in fact small village up on the hill, more authentic and less noicy then Adamas with narrow streets and fine small domestic food restaurants. It is connected with Tripiti. All distances are relatively small (5-15km) but the roads are not in very good shape: lots of dirt roads, especially on the other part of the island, where you can find few nice quite beaches but you must rent Suzuki Vitara jeep or something similar, not Chevrolet Matiz (like we did and couldn't go there). Overall impression of MIlos is that it is not a commercialized island, in a good sense. It is a windy Cyclades island with unusual and beautiful beaches, kind people and great local dishes (but don't expect to use your credit card except on ATM cash withdrawal and rent-a-car agencies).

We enjoyed our stay here. The folks who run this place are really nice and very helpful. We had a small studio. It was very clean and very tastefully decorated. Bathroom was large and very American in style. Fresh sheets and towels daily. Kitchen is very small. One one burner and a coffee pot. You can't really cook, but we did breakfast here. There was no view from our room which was a drag. The only place to sit outside was on a small veranda that is shared by other rooms. If that is important to you, you should request a room with a balcony. This place is very well located. it is right off the center of town so there is no noise but close enough to walk into the center. There is a beach accoss the street but its not much of a beach, just a place to take a quick dip if you feel like it.

I stayed with my husband in villa notos for 8 days at the beginnig of June, we stayed in a superior studio at the first floor. Good location, great room and we have been impressed by the cleanness of the place, every day our studio was immaculate, they changed towels every day and sheets every 3 days. Just perfect the best place we have been in Greece.

My partner and I stayed at the superior room, which is on the raised groung floor but still has one of the most beautiful views on the island! The room was very large, comfortable, beautifully furnished and most importantly emaculately cleaned every day. What really made our stay special was the owner, Mr. Giannis! Always with a smile, he made us feel welcomed, arranged a car for us, recommended places to see and eat and went out of his way to ensure that our stay at Villa Notos was a very personal experience! Milos is gorgious and that was one of the best holidays we've ever had! Thank you!
