I couldn't understand how the reviews were so different when it came to describing the owners - some described the service as something akin to Fawlty Towers whilst others felt the service was friendly and excellent. Having just returned - I have a theory! I think that if you need help with nothing at all and ask for nothing at all and then eat and drink in the bar, you might get the sort of service happy customers have described in the reviews. However if are rude enough to need, I don't know, clean towels then you might as well pack up and leave because the staff are the rudest I have ever met. To the point where it actually made me smile and I started looking forward to cheerfully saying "good morning" to them to watch the confusion this caused!

A lovely place, very basic inside but nice bathrooms and firm beds. Piskopiano very nice for couples. Truly miserable staff who are entertaining to watch if you like that kind of thing. Enjoy at your own peril!!

Please feed the cats when you visit

Room Tip: Reviews are correct here - best rooms are at the back of the complex 60-75 but all rooms seems nice

What a gem! We have travelled to lots of Greek islands and this was our first visit to Crete. Brilliant accommodation and staff, fantastic location if you love traditional Greek village location with excellent food on your doorstep. Can't wait to go back next year.

We stayed in these apartments for a week in september after reading some reviews from last year i thought give them a try, booked a one bedroomed apartment through low cost holidays but when we got there was given a studio for 2 as it was quite a big room we never questioned it.The top pool never got too busy and it seemed alot quieter than the bottom pool so just chilled out there most of the holiday, did walk down to hersonnisos a few times and I am so glad didnt book anything down there it was grotty and grubby just full of fur and tat shops the beach was packed out like sardines so never ventured on it we are so glad we stayed at the top of the hill.We ate 3 times at a taverna called davids just basic simple menu but gorgeous food and not at all overpriced, then went 3 times to Kostas taverna up a side street near the church again lovely greek food, walked to old hersonnisos but it was just a street with lots of big restaurants on it and if you did look at the menu they were a bit overpowering so stayed in piskopiano also tried the Meze taverna in koultafolari it was very busy and didnt really like it that much too rushed. We would return again to these apartments nice bar and seating area just people watching also lovely anna and sophia and mr george always polite and spoke, only downside was I missed the beach but I could cope with the pool for a week the place seemed to have returning guests which says alot also the handy man what a grafter .I would recommend this place if you just want relaxation a little greek village and sunshine

Visited for the second time 24/08/12 - 07/09/12. Had another fab relaxing stay. opted for a one bedroom apartment this time having stayed in a studio last year. For the small difference in price would go for the one bedroom apartment everytime. Spacious, clean, and good views down to Hersonissos. Staff helpful and friendly as alwalys. Didnt arrive till nearly 1am and Anna was still in reception to welcome us and check us in.
Always used the lower pool as the top pool is a sun trap with hardly any breeze so became unbearable soemtimes. Bar snacks available which are not badly priced. 2euros for a can of pop is a bit high but took our own drinks down that we froze the night before.
Some wonderful little restaurants close by and in the two nieghbouring villages.
Will definatly go again (already looking for flights for next year) and would recommend it to anyone.

Just returned from our first visit to these lovely, friendly apartments.

We arrived slightly delayed around 9.30pm and were given a warm welcome by Anna on reception, quickly checked in and after a short walk around the complex to get our bearings, made for the comfortable bar for a very welcome drink - prices excellent 2.50 euros for a large beer & large glass of lovely white wine which would probably be getting on for £6 back home.

We were allocated one of the 1 bedroom apartments in the older part of the complex near to the top pool and main bar area - although basic in catering facilities it had all of the essentials and also air conditioning if required. The apartments are kept spotless - cleaned and bins emptied every day apart from Sunday and towels & linen changed at least 4 times in our fortnight stay.

We spent our time at the main pool a short distance down from the reception/main bar, a great area with lots of loungers & a great pool bar serving drinks & snacks etc and lovely views down to the sea at Herssonissos.

It is however, the lovely staff & relaxed atmosphere that make this complex such a wonderful place to holiday, everyone worked so hard but always had time to stop & chat and were helpful & friendly - especially Anna, Daniella & Mr George who high-fived our 3 year old whenever he saw him.

I would say ignore the negative reviews and don't hesitate to book - these are the most friendly, welcoming & pleasant aparments we have stayed in and are looking forward to return really soon. Thank you to everyone for a lovely holiday
