We have now stayed twice at the Hotel Akti and can confirm what everyone else is saying....that this is a hotel that really cares about its guests. the reception areas and rooms are spotless, spacious and much more interesting than many of the bland greek hotels we have visited. The rooms have large balconies..many with sea views and we thought that the room rates were excellent value for money when we visited in late September.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent too.
We shall definitely return as we think that Nafpaktos is a great place.

Great, quiet hotel on the beach. It’s not on the main beach, which is good since it’s much louder in that area, however it’s only a 10 minute (maximum) walk from the main square/beach. Nice reception, comfy rooms/beds and nice, quaint décor. We had breakfast 1 day for 10E, which was very filling, but did not include hot items. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Akti and would definitely stay there again in the future.

Nafpaktos is a great town to visit with a lot to see and do – for a small town; there is a lot of nightlife. The harbor and castle were both great to see and experience during the day or night. Although Nafpaktos is on the water, the beaches in town are rocky. We preferred to drive the few kilometers (~10-15) outside of town to where the sandy beaches are- Monastiraki, Hiliadou, Skaloma. All great places to hang during the day with several full service café’s lining the beach.

We had a car and had no trouble finding parking right next to the hotel, which was very convenient. Plenty of restaurants just steps away as well! Overall, good value for all that you get.

We spent three nights on September, due to a mtb race in the mountains of Nafpaktos and i have only the best comments to leave.
The room was spacious, with nice sea view, clean and comfortable.
The lobby full of nice paintings and antique furnitures.
Big advantage the breakfast, as a whole buffet gets deployed.... in your table !
We had a good time with Giorgos, the owner, drinking morning coffee together.
Very pleased especially when , without asking, we got a free upgrade from a standard double to a suite !
Unforgetable mascot of the hotel, the beautiful Lambrador , named Argos.
I would definitely go again, and i'm planning to do so.....

We are visiting this beautiful town every summer and stayed at a couple of hotels over there. When we were there last summer in 2010 we heard very good comments about Hotel Akti which has been recently renovated so we decided to stay there for 4 days this summer. The vast majority of the town´s hotels are 3/4 storey buildings offering breakfast (no swimming pools as you have such a beautiful beach in front of the buildings). For meals you have to go to the local beachside restaurants which offer fresh and delicious fish and meat plates and very reasonable prices.

We were very suprised to see what a nice hotel that was with very clean rooms and common areas, polite staff and fantastic ocean views. The only negative thing I can think of is the absence of parking areas which made life a bit difficult. The price we paid for an ocean view room was €60 on a high season which was pretty reasonable for me. When you book make sure you get an ocean view room, its really worth the price.

Room Tip: We stayed at room number 305 which looked directly into the beach which absolutely no obstructions. The same goes for the next rooms 304/306
