This was our second stay at Chalet Les Trois Canards. Fantastic again, thank you! Kev and Ash were excellent hosts and the food was first-class. Portes-De-Soleil was expansive and there are still areas we haven't touched despite this being our second year at the resort. Chatel remains a dreamy and charming alpine village, well worth a visit!

What more can i say - you tended to our every need with such understanding - back and forth to town & ski lessons. Food was out of this world & cakes to convert a 'non-cake' eater! Adam was so patient with slow skiers and an excellent guide. We will be back!

Came back for our second year at the Chalet, addition of boot warmers is a major plus to put your feet into warm boots in the morning is bliss. New chalet staff with excellent service, attention to detail and veyr high standard of cuisine. Nothing can fault this place lovely fluffy towels, plenty of hot power showers, outside hottub and excellent ski guiding by Adam the owner. Thoroughly recommend the chalet and personal service on transfers and can do attitude, nothing is too much trouble.

Room Tip: lower ground floor with ensuite and direct access to hot tub a must :O)

What a great holiday thanks to Claire, Steve and Adam.
The food was fantastic. I certanly didn't feel like a 2nd class citizen being a veggie and with 6 1st class/ A star dinners and afternoon teas under my belt I was getting a pretty worried about my "slim fit" strides remaining so.
It's a lovely chalet - bright, clean, modern rooms with great views. Although not "ski in/ out" the timely drop offs and pick ups made it a stress free way to hit the slopes and the 10 minute walk into Chatel meant access to the village on Claire and Steve's (extremely well earnt) night off a doddle.
Chatel itself is a very pretty village and a great base to explore both the French and Swiss areas of the Port du Soleil. Being a bit of a red piste basher myself (venturing onto blacks in perfect conditions) I was in my element but there are also lots of snow parks and off piste options for those braver than me. And the "Swiss Wall" for those more ..... insane.
Adam could not have been more helpfull both pre and during our stay, putting up with our last minute and ever changing plans/ requests with easy good grace and the benefit of his extensive knowledge of the resort enabled us to make the best of the holiday.
The atmosphere at "Les Trois Canards" is of a relaxed (yet professional), chilled (yet super effecient) and superb (yet superb) chalet.
It really is a pleasure to stay here and something that I can't recommend enough that you do.

Superb stay at the chalet. It was my first skiing holiday, but my friends informed me that this was above and beyond anything you could hope to get in a more typical "2 star hotel" ski-trip, and I could certainly see why. The meals were absolutely amazing, Steve and Claire are fantastic cooks. The lifts to and from the various ski resorts were very flexible, and never had a problem with where we wanted to be collected from. All-in-all, a stunning place to stay, and highly recommended

Thanks to Adam for being an excellent host. The week I spent in Chatel (the local village) with my girlfriend and friend was a superb experience. The area around the Chalet (les Trois Canards --which means The Three Ducks) is beautiful, and views from the chalet are excellent. Like Adam says in response to some reviews below, it is hard to choose which is better between the great chalet or the skiing. I liked both.
The bedrooms are very comfortable, well sized, and ours had an ensuite with a good quality shower and nice deep bath (.fits two ;-) ) Heating in the rooms and throughout the chalet is spot on. The hot-tub was just 10 yards or so from the door of our room, and I used it twice-- good bit of gears-- fits 4 people no problem, warm water, jacuzzi/bubbles etc.
The food is great at the chalet. Steve and Claire are superb cooks and also very friendly. I especially loved the cakes they baked-- a different one every day, which was a nice and very tasty touch, as well as good breakfasts and cultured dinners. The lounge / dinner area is big, with comfy sofas, a good high def tv, with over 1200 films to pick from (also a great extra touch) and sky TV.
The skiiing is great, as there is a massive area to pick which slopes you want to do. I am a beginner so stuck to greens and blues. Good restaurants in Chalet especially one place that did amazing pizzas.
Adam and Steve did a great job with transport--we got picked up from the airport by Adam and brought back by Steve, and they drove us to the slopes each morning and collected us in the afternoons.
overall a great holiday, with a super chalet, and 3 dedicated hosts in Adam, Steve, and Claire. Thanks Guys !! , from Richard O

Room Tip: the 2 downstairs bedrooms both have ensuites so I would go for them every time.

Chatel isn't ski in/out resort but that's never a problem in our chalet as our minibus will transfer you where you need to go without any fuss. Our guests love the luxury of being driven around, and everyone always thinks the few minutes transfer is definitely worth it when they arrive back at our wonderful chalet with superb views
