“Great chalet holiday”
Reviewed March 13, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Would highly recommend this chalet. The chalet was comfortable, clean with a spacious sitting room with wonderful views over the valley. The food was well planned with plenty of good drinkable wine. Thanks to Glen and Francis we were taken by mini bus to the ski lifts in the morning and collected in the afternoon, a real bonus!

“Coeur De Bois (Chatel - La Linga)”
Reviewed January 25, 2013 for a stay in January 2013

Beautiful chalet in excellent location to access some great snow in porte du soleil. If you've done Les Gets and Morzine to death, but struggle to get past Avoriaz, this is the perfect base to explore a bit more.

Most skiers can 'ski out' to the nearby main road at the ski lifts but getting back involves a very short walk along the road. Almost, but not quite, ski in/out.

The chalet itself is lovely. An impressive living area adjoins a pleasant dining area. The owners have made an effort, and it pays off. It is modern (but not too modern) and comfortable, as well as having all the requisite gizmos (flatscreen, satellite and MP3 docks in most rooms etc). The games room downstairs was unused by my group but I can see how fab it would be for a family ski set-up.

James and Cathy were our hosts when we were there and they were absolutely great. Great food, very helpful and very nice people.

The yomp into and back out of Chatel is probably a bit much for most, but the free bus leaves from nearby and there are one or two bars and restaurants which will arrange for you to be delivered home after an evening out, believe it or not!

Will definitely consider returning.

“A amazing time with family and friends at Les Frangins”
Reviewed January 22, 2013 for a stay in January 2013

We had a group of 17 friends and children, all had a really really great time, the ambiance was of quality relaxation. The lounge log burner was a fantastic centerpiece for evenings with friends and the local wine. Glen and the staff worked really to ferry us to and from the slopes. Les Frangins is within a pleasant walk of town (not with ski boots). The food was excellent after a long tiring day, they willingly catered for a childrens sitting followed by adults. Unusual for French properties it had a working commercial quality fire alarm and maintained extinguishers, so full marks there, otherwise a safe child friendly place with a fun back garden with slopes for the young at heart to while away a afternoon in the snow. The only recommendation was for there to be a decent quality Bluetooth sound dock for the lounge, really missed not being able to play "our" music off a smart phone, although there was a good selection of DVD and CD's played off the TV speakers. We all valued the wifi , loads of tec connected no problems on the first day. All in all a VERY wonderful holiday we will never forget.. Thanks Glen and Francis.

“They thought of everything.....and more!”
Reviewed April 28, 2012 for a stay in March 2012

The most arduous part of a stay at Chalet les Frangins was the three paces walked to the transport to the slopes. Even our skis were carried for us!
A hot tub, a sauna, a pool table, Wii, satellite TV, DVDs galore and a copious selection of games & books &, most importantly, and an endless supply of hot water, catered for all our whims and needs. Glen and Francis really had thought of everything and their apparently effortless warmth belied the huge amount of work which must go on behind the scenes to produce such results.
I totally agree with other reviewers' accolades. The food was excellent and Glen's ski guiding took our skiers to parts which others hadn't reached!
If you want to be pampered, in great surroundings and a massive ski area - and at a reasonable price - visit Chalet les Frangins.

“A truly perfect experience in every way!!”
Reviewed April 12, 2012 for a stay in February 2012

We stayed and Glen and Frances' fantastic Chalet in Feb of this year in a family group of 16 people ranging in age from 4 years old to 70 years old. To say we were well looked after would be an understatement. We were made to feel like we were at home from the moment we arrived. The catering was superb, varying daily and always freshly prepared and served by the wonderful staff at the chalet. Although not situated right on the slopes, Glen and Frances ferried us around in their fleet of buses (well both of them anyway!) and made sure we were where we wanted to be on time. They also shared their excellent local knowledge of the area, pointing us in the right direction for which ever type of skiing suited our individual groups each day. If you get the opportunity to go out on the piste (or off it!!) with Glen, don't pass it up, he's a great skier and knows his way around both on and off piste very well although you might need a large shot of brave juice in order to keep up ;). All in all we could not have asked for a more perfect time. If I could I would be back there again and again. Definitely my new favourite place in the Alps.

“The Perfect Choice! a fantastic chalet - lovely people - great service”
Reviewed March 14, 2012 for a stay in March 2012

Myself and a friend stayed at Chalet Les Frangins in March 2012 for a long weekend and I could not fault it. Glen and Frances went so far out of their way to accommodate all of our needs and Robert & Yana who ran the chalet were just perfect.

Firstly.. the location. Chalet Les Frangins is situated at the top end of Chatel, with uninterrupted views across the mountains. The huge balcony and terrace area is south facing too.. perfect for catching the last rays of the day! It is a very short walk to the nearest ski hire shop (but if you dont want to walk.. they will take you there.) and is very close to the ski lifts of the Portes Du Soleil area. Glen & Frances will take you to the lifts every morning and collect you later on in the day - PERFECT!

Secondly.. the food. Robert & Yana catered so well for everyone in the chalet - I let them know before hand what foods I couldn't eat/didn't like and what I did like... and sure enough... every meal was exactly what I wanted! The presentation and the quality of the food was second to none - I ate better at Chalet Les Frangins than I have in top restaurants in London. Everything is home made - the cakes in the afternoon were to die for and are not to be missed.

It was an all round fantastic experience, we had a fab break and are already talking about dates and bringing a big group of friends for next ski season! I highly recommend staying with Glen & Frances - lovely people, lovely accommodation and lovely service.

Thank you to all the team at Alpine Quests for looking after us - we had a brilliant time.
