Highly recommend this chalet. We had a fabulous week here skiing. So close to lifts. Lovely chalet with everything we needed and so much space. Plus a hot tub and log fire. We will be back.
My family and I stayed here in January. Ian was a great host. He was in contact from booking (last June) right up until the day of travel. Which we found reassuring when booking through air bnb. Ian helped us with local information and pointed us in the right direction for local amenities.
The chalet itself was lovely. Recently updated and very spacious. The spacious gardeb and hot tub made for a perfect day off from the slopes.
We did find that having car hire was a major plus. However it is still possible to get to the slopes and local town without one, bus stop is almost opposite the chalet.
The chalet is perfect for any group of family or friends who are looking for a relaxing chilled skiing holiday.
Thanks for having us!
Good location less than 5 minutes drive from the ski lifts. The place was entirely remodeled. Bedrooms are fairly spacious and the living area is nice. Updated kitchen. We enjoyed our stay.
First time to Chatel. The really good thing for us was that it is just one hour from Geneva – very easy. Chatel is like a Swiss/Austrian ski village as they have restricted new development to chalet type buildings unlike so many other French resorts - it has a good feeling and atmosphere but perhaps not for the serious “apre ski” set that want loads of night life. The chalet has a boutique hotel next door with a great bar and restaurant.
Traditional wooden chalet - good size for two families and well laid out.
Accommodation was perfect for us – cosy clean and comfortable - nice sheets – slept like a log – a living area that is great to come back to and chillout in after a day on the slopes!
I will go back – brilliant skiing
We stayed here in the summer and are already planning on going back for skiing in winter. The chalet is in a stunning location by the river with great views of the mountains and a beautiful garden around it. The chalet itself is traditional and has been stylishly furnished. Very comfortable beds. The open-plan area is very sociable and light and cosy but we mostly sat on the balcony in the sunshine - the garden/terrace/balcony are all south facing so we had sun throughout the day. There's an excellent restaurant right next door too.
