“Not as good as we expected”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Restaurant David is not bad at all, but for the price of the menu and the style of service we were expecting much more.

The room is spacious and it probably offers an impressive view of the ochre hillside during day time. However it feels more like the hotel dining room that it is than a cosy restaurant.

Service is very professional, but the food was trying a little too much. To be successful, 'haute cuisine' needs a lighter touch and more inspiration.

“Beautiful setting, fabulous food”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

This was our favorite restaurant in Provence. Roussillon is beautiful day or night, and arriving just before sunset was especially nice. The restaurant is elegant and comfortable, the wait staff attentive and friendly, the food and wine superb in every way. We chose their top red wine of the area -an excellent Luberon- and loved it. The food was completely delicious and presented artistically. Very highly recommended.

“divine food”
Reviewed August 11, 2012

Our friends were walking La Falaise at Lioux, so we decided to drive to Roussillon, wander through the streets and then eat lunch. Marie-Pierre from Le Gout de Jour (a wonderful gourmet shop in Roussillon) recommended this restaurant to us. I am so glad she did! We had a fabulous lunch on the balcony looking across to the ochre cliffs and then down into the beautiful valley. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was spectacularly good. We both had salads: one was a salmon one and mine was a crispy rabbit one. I had never eaten rabbit before and it was delicious. The dessert was the best I have ever eaten. It is hard to describe what was in it: berries, little squares of cake and some sort of creamy custard all in a chocolate nest. It wasn't cheap but I would go back there in a second. Totally divine.

“Wonderful food, lovely atmosphere, great views”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

Restaurant David combines the attributes that make for a memorable eating experience. This is the kind of meal that you remember for months and makes you write it on your list of places you want to return to on a future visit. My girlfriend is very picky about food, can't stop singing the praises of the meal she had here. Combined with the beauty of the village and the artisan shops that surround the restaurant, you will want to spend a day strolling through Roussillon. Highly recommended.
