Why stop in the crowded towns when you can stop in the countryside surrounded by vineyards and lavender fields? From the time you are welcomed by Christine and Robert, you know you have made the right choice. Rooms are spotless and cleaned every day, breakfast are plentiful and if you get the chance of a host meal you won’t be disappointed. We chose Le Mas Destonge so we could discover Provence and it’s ideally situated for that purpose, whilst allowing you to escape at the end of the day. Christine has plenty of ideas for visits and also places to eat, do ask and she will always make a reservation for you. The other great plus is that if you want to stay around the house and pool all day, you can do so without feeling that you should really go out for several hours. Le Mas Destonge is all very relaxing and certainly worth another visit.

My family rented 2 rooms here for several nights. Both rooms were large and airy with huge bathrooms, and were decorated and painted attractively. The hosts, Christine and Robert, were very cordial, and the breakfasts they served were delicious, especially Christine's homemade jams. There is an unheated swimming pool in a beautiful garden; if you go during hot weather, the pool will be very refreshing after a long dusty day of sightseeing in the nearby hill towns. If the weather is bad, there is a large and comfortable community living room. Plenty of parking for your car here, as the house is in the countryside with lots of space around it. Roussillon itself, a tiny town about 2 or 3 miles away, is beautiful. The buildings are coated with the red ochre that is found in the area, and the little town glows in the light. There is a nice walk through red rock formations near the town (Sentier des Ochres) and some nice restaurants in the town square. Highly recommended!

Located in a small hamlet outside of town. Both hotel and hamlet not on GPS so a good job we arrived early with time to go to the tourist info who directed us. Nice bathroom, double sink but too high for my wife who had to stand on a chair. Shower in bath but no curtain. Expensively renovated old farm house, no air, clean ceramic floors but this caused echoes and noise from other rooms. Clean, nicely decorated with large common area where a small breakfast was served. Bread open for all to touch so didn't like it when the guy who was coughing all night cut the communal bread with his bare hands. Grounds are nice with pool, free parking and centrally located for touring.

We stayed at Mas Destonge during our honeymoon. After leaving early from a very bad place in Isle-sur-la Sorgue, Mas Destonge thankfully had availability at the last minute for 4 nights. We stayed in the cottage that has a kitchen and living room, along with a washer. We loved our accommodations and could not have been happier. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful in planning our daily trips to vineyards and markets. The room was comfortable and the grounds are very well landscaped. It is truly a peaceful place to stay. It is also very conveniently located between Gordes and Roussillon. The pool was nice during the hot Provence afternoons. Breakfast was very good with terrific croissants, fresh fruit, jams, and yogurt. We cannot thank Mas Destonge enough. They saved our honeymoon!

We just spent a wonderful 3 nights at this B&B about 2 to 3 miles from the village of Rousillon. We had a difficult time finding it, but once there, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our hosts Christiane and Robert were wonderful, and went out of there way to make us feel welcome. The B&B is like a farmhouse in the midst of vineyards It is quiet.. All the room and inn furnishings and decorations are perfect country French, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom fixtures are modern. There is a special refrigerator for guest use. The breakfasts of fresh baked breads, croissants, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, coffee and a variety of home-made jams were wonderful. The last morning we also had a bread pudding made with cherries picked on the property. The very picturesque ochre colored town and mountains of Rousillon is close by. A great place to stay in Provence for anyone with a car.
