We really enjoyed our stay here- hotel is well located for the small town, and really is picture card perfect to look at. Attractive restaurant, lovely terrace by the garden for breakfast, small outdoor pool, very pretty rooms which are of a decent size. Not many communal sitting rooms (only one that we could find) but that was not a huge issue.
Restaurant really was very good, although a formal air as if they take themselves very seriously. But with food that good( but not cheap) one can live with that.
A few small issues to be aware of- both the tissues in the bathroom & toilet tissue were hard- would be super if the hotel management splashed out a little more for guest comfort. And I found the bed hard and the pillow huge- again it would be good if the hotel offered some slim feather pillows for those who don't like to rest on a mountain! And discounts for children were slim- we paid 25 euros for breakfast for very small children (which was nice croissants, bread & an omelette) which feels a bit of a rip-off. And reception staff felt somewhat aloof and not particularly warm/inviting.
Notwithstanding the issues mentioned above that could be improved, it is a lovely property and a cosy and attractive hotel to stay at with an excellent restaurant.More
