Actually, believe the good words about this restaurant and ignore the bad ones. This is exactly the kind of restaurant you want if you're looking for a good French meal perfectly cooked. I cannot think of a single thing that i would change about the place. All the 'clutter' is mainly to do with the owner's obsession with le rugby, but there are loads of other things: old radios, old postcards, pictures, lamps — well, you get the idea. Madam is wonderful: she speaks perfect English, but she's also willing to tolerate our fractured French. We had fish and more fish, nice wine and the prices were very reasonable, even though we didn't take the cheapest set meal. One thing I cannot stress enough is to get a reservation, at least on the day. We stopped by just after lunch service to reserve, got seated in a nice part of the room at the time we had booked, and saw a steady stream of people being turned away (this on a Wednesday, off season!) while we ate our lovely fish.
