“Excellent Panamanian food great prices”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

This is not a fancy restaurant but the food is good and the location is right on the main strip of town. We have eaten here a few times and have always had a good meal.. Garlic fish and fried chicken are our favorites. Both served with rice and a delicious Panamanian lentil/green bean side dish. The patacones are also good here. Fried rice is a huge serving. Main courses are about $6 each and there is enough food to be quite filling. Service was not slow for us but it isn't generally too busy when we have been there (during the week). This is our go to place in El Valle.

“The best place to eat”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

My family and I spent the day at the market and at the thermal spa and ended the day at Restaurante Tierra y Mar. As soon as we walked in, the owner shook our hands and welcomed us. Yes, the food was slow to come out, but it was worth it. The amount of food for each dish was huge and very good. For 4 of us, the bill came to $21 and that included the tip. If you like Panamanian food, then this is the place to go. The chicken, shrimp, and beef were all very good. We will eat there again the next time we are in Panama.

“Service was slow but food was good.”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

It was a very small place on the main town road. Maybe it was the time of day that we were there but the place was packed and the service was really slow. We were asked 3 or 4 times what it was we ordered. Our food didn't come out all at once. I had the Sancocho Soup (chicken soup with root vegetables), my husband had a pork sandwich. All was very tasty.

“Great local place!”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

This is the place for local food. You will get a big plate and you pay almost nothing. Try to eat the local dishes as this is a good place to try it.

“Excellent”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

Peruvian chicken and rice, shrimp creole and fried chicken along with a side of pantacones were what was ordered when we stumbled upon this restaurant. We also had delicious hot chocolate (it was 65 degrees, cloudy and pouring rain) and milk shakes. The food came out at separate times (the chicken and rice came out first and ten minutes or so later the other two dishes came out), but we had gotten used to this in Panama. The waiter was super friendly, the bathrooms were clean, but remember to bring bug spray and wipe the tables down with bug wipes (this really will keep most away!). I will definitely return to this restaurant when in El Valle!
