Our family just returned from our first trip to Costa Rica (Santa Teresa at Blue Surf). We had an amazing vacation. The staff was so welcoming. The Blue Surf was a perfert home away from home for us. We have two children (10 & 11), who also enjoyed their time at Blue Surf. The pool is a great place for the kids to play and cool off. There were other families there as well that had children and the kids always seem to hit it off with their new friends. Thank you to Sofi, Julie, Jude, Toro, and Danny for a wonderful vacation that we will remember for years to come. Toro and Danny are great surf instructors. Toro was so patient with my daughter, who wanted to surf for hours and hours. Sofi and Julie took care of everything........massages in our room, restaurant reservations, deep sea fishing, zip lining. We did not rent a car, but on our return we definitely will do that as getting around by taxi can be expensive. Pura Vida!

Room Tip: All of the bungalows are beautiful. We stayed in Amerosia, which is the furthest from the common ar...

My husband and I live in the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica and he planned a getaway for my birthday so that we could surf and relax for a few days! We had been to Santa Teresa many times before and you cannot imagine how grateful we are to have found this place and these people! We will certainly be back soon!

Blue Surf is just in the best location you can think... 75 meters far from a gorgeous beach and just 5 minutes away by car from Playa Hermosa.

You are at walking distance of almost anything but we recommend you to rent a quad or a car while you are there as it is much easier.

Blue Surf's concept is very smart:

There are 4 very complete and gorgeous bungalows with everything you might need... just perfect...

The common area has a very nice and cozy pool and an open kitchen for all the guests, which is a great idea. The fridge has a box for every bungalow and you can have your food there. We prepared our lunch sandwiches there everyday before going to the beach!

We have a little lodge in the Osa (El Remanso) and we know how hard is to have everything looking nice and perfect... we were really amazed with the detail of Blue Surf and the good value for money considering their rates. Incredible!

We felt very comfortable there and Sofi and all the staff made your life just easy! I took surging lessons with Toro and he was great... fantastic instructor for all levels and very professional.

Domingo, the guard and his wife, in charge of house keeping were very gentle and the rest of the maintenance guys, very nice as well. It felt like home away from home...

I would recommend Blue Surf for couples, families and friends... just ideal ambiance!

We cannot wait to be back!! What a jewel in Santa Teresa!! ;o)

Just returned from a surf trip to Santa Teresa. What a fantastic experience at the Blue Surf Sanctuary! I have traveled to various locations throughout Costa Rica over the past 10 + years and this was one of the most accommodating for the traveling surfer. Our rooms were updated and very clean, staff was extremely helpful and friendly and storage for our surfboards worked out extremely well. I can keep going on and on about what a great experience this was.....can't wait to go back again!

Just returned from BSS and can't say enough about how great an experience it was. Our daily surf lessons were designed just for us with lots of one on one instruction, and our instructors worked their tails off to ensure that we had the very best surfing experience. Everyone was so welcoming and since the resort is so small, only 4 bungalows, we had the chance to get to know the staff and other guests. There is always someone present to help you for things such as finding a restaurant or booking a message, etc. Great fun riding bikes into town and only a few minute walk to the beach and beach lounge. In general the area is easy to navigate, folks are very helpful and quick to help you in english if your spanish is not that good. Thanks to Toro, Danny, Sofia, Julie, and Jude for an exceptional experience.

My husband and I just got home from our stay at BSS. I can't even express in words what a wonderful spot this is. The bungalows were beautiful and comfortable and the location is perfect, right next to the beach and close to restaurants and grocery stores. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Sofia and Julie were wonderful, they arranged surf lessons and paddle boarding lessons for us with very little notice. Our surf instructor Mickey was great. We had never surfed before and he was very patient and we were even riding a few small waves in the "white water" before the end of our first lesson. The staff made us feel at home and it was very easy to get to know our neighbors staying in the other bungalows. We truly did not want to leave Blue Surf Sanctuary and are hoping to return sooner than later! I cannot say enough great things about this amazing little spot!

Not a lot more to say other than this place is absolutely epic...the accommodations were perfect: clean, comfy and really nicely appointed. The private pool was insane and the location was prime-time. On top of that all, the staff was so friendly and sweet and genuinely cared that we were having a good time...which trust me, we were! You cannot go wrong with this spot...working in the hospitality industry I don;t often give such glowing reviews...but Blue Surf deserves them all!

Thanks to the whole group at Blue Surf for a truly unforgettable experience.
