We ended up coming here three times during our time in Santa Teresa, and I’m normally inclined to keep trying new places... there were just too many reasons to return here though!
1. The sunset. At 1730 every day we were treated to the most unbelievable sunsets you could imagine. The restaurant is right on the beach and you just sit with a cocktail and watch the surfers catch the last waves of the day. Unforgettable.
2. The food! Reasonably priced and everything we ordered was perfect. Coconut calamari, nachos and guac, Viennese schnitzel, battered fish, and the Mexican burger is the best burger I’ve ever eaten in my entire life!
3. The cocktails. 2 for 6,000 colones (about £7-8). Very reasonable as they are lovingly made fresh to order.
4. The service. Attentive but not invasive. Informal but professional and friendly.

The food is just not that great. The sides, the appetizers, the salads and the entrees were not great. We paid enough to have bought a great meal and a fine-dining restaurant in San Diego. We felt taken. The ribeye was great. The lobster was horrible. Service was outstanding. Just way over-priced. Would not go back when there are other great restaurants in town.

In general.its a nice bar on the edge of the beach lots of tables chairs and hammocks set up. Food has been great with good sizes and good quality and just the right volume level of back ground music.

We found the cocktails rather watery and left us thinking if it was a short spirit measure in the 2 for 6000 offer as we could hardly taste any alcohol. Service is dreadfully slow from initial order all the way through to getting the bill.. I could see many frustrated people with the same experience. Improve the service speed and it would be an excellent rating.

We hung out here several times over a few weeks based on recommendation from our house host and a few notes from others. the set up is along the beach with tables and chairs available for "free" if you are buying drinks or food. Very casual, low fuss, and very friendly staff. The prices were reasonable and food surprisingly good given it looks like a sunset bar hangout. We had the coconut calamari, bbq lobster, a few salads, and my favorite, the tuna tataki. The food was fresh, light without the heavy sauces or dressings, and was hot. Drinks were average. Seems like standard was 2 for 6000 colones for big drink menu so not cheap but good quality and you get a place to hang out comfortably if you are done sitting on the beach. Wine and beer also available. Sunset views while sipping on a cold drink and watching hermit crabs come out in force was just the right amount of activity for me.

Nice view, friendly staff and strong drinks. Especially popular during sunset and a lot of activities going on later.
