“The Best Tico Restaurant!!”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

The service is great! The plate of food is huge and extremely filling and the best part about it is the price! This soda is the best bang for your buck around here! We will definitely eat here again! Tico Sodas seem to be difficult to find in this beach town, but you should not miss this one. It is hard to believe it is so good and we didn't have to pay a lot of money for a small portion of food (which seems to be the 'norm' these days). This is what Costa Rica used to be like! You get a good balanced meal for a reasonable price!! Glad we found this place and it is nice to be reassured that there are some 'good old Sodas' still around!!

“Best in Santa Teresa”
Reviewed January 4, 2014 via mobile

My girlfriend and I spent 5 nights in Santa Teresa. For the first two days we ate at various places in town but on the third we found Soda Tiquicia and ate every meal there after. Though this place is a bit out on the main part of town it's well worth the effort. The prices are significantly lower than any where else and the portions are huge. Ranging from 1500-3000c for typical food this was the best Costa Rican fare we had on our trip. As we ate 6 meals there I can vouch for the casados, arros con pollo, chimichuri, guacamole, chicken fingers, ceviche con patacones, breakfast casados and fruit shakes. The dud we had was the taco but only because we didn't like the salad that comes with it.

Not only is the food fantastic, but this is one of the only restaurants that openly accepts credit cards in Santa Teresa. Moreover the service is great. My only feedback would be that they should come ask how your meal is after it is served, however no one in Costa Rica ever did that at any restaurant we went to, even chains.

I highly recommend a visit here. It beats Soda La Yunta, Soda La Amistad, El Capitan and The Bakery hands down!!!
