“Jepo knows his stuff!”

Reviewed March 20, 2013

We spent the entire day with Jepo traveling to Montezuma, Cabuya and Santa Teresa. We enjoyed zip lining canopy tours, visiting wildlife refuges, enjoying a butterfly sanctuary, lunch on the beach, watching howler monkeys, etc. Jepo was so knowledgable and passionate about the ecology of Costa Rica. We had the best time since he was so friendly. Highly recommended if you visit the area!

We stayed in Santa Teresa (Batik Costa Rica, best anywhere), and Dahlia arranged the tour with Jeppo (José). He took us to Curú, for a nature walk and kayak trip to a private, secluded beach. Jeppo is unbelievably friendly, positive, and is very passionate about Costa Rica, sustainability, Eco-tourism, and the plants and animals we saw. His passion and positivity rubs off on everyone. Everyone loved him. The private lunch on the private beach, after the strenuous sea kayak sojourn, could not be beat. Jeppo is amazingly patient and accommodating, and will adjust his schedule to meet your interests. He is very good at reading his audience (we were a family of 5, from 11 to 49), and making small adjustments that fit the day perfectly.

Rates are reasonable, and he deserves a nice tip.

We recommend Jeppo as highly as we can.

We Decided to Take a Break from the Surfing & Go Hiking thru the Curu National Forest. We Took surf lessons with Jepo last year & he Recommended that we get away from the Beach & Enjoy some of Costa Rica's other Natural Beauty. So Glad we Took his Advice, We Saw more Wildlife in the 5-6 Hrs with Jepo than we have in our 6-7 Previous Trips to Costa Rica. His Love for Nature, Birds & Animals made the Experience one we will never Forget.

We Saw White Faced Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, Deer & all kinds of Beautiful Birds, then he Took us to the Island of Tortuga. The Underwater world is as impressive as the Jungle & If You are into Nature or Have children this is for You

We spent several hours with Jepo at Curu wildlife refuge. It was by far the best of several tours we took while on vacation in Costa Rica. He is the most personable, compassionate, knowledgeable guide you will find. His customized service to our situation (he picked us up in Santa Teressa and then took us the the ferry afterwards!) was impeccable. Jepo has a great camera and he sent us the pictures that he took on our tour--better than the ones I took. I highly recommend his all day combined Curu and Tortuga island snorkeling tour. You'll learn the most and have the most fun and get the best value for your money. You'll also get really good answers to any questions you might have. Olingo tours has by far the highest integrity and value you are going to find.......Go for it! (PS We are in our 60's (-;

My wife and I and are two sons (6 and 9) had a great recent experience with Olingo. The nature through Curu was fabulous and we had an opportunity to see a wide variety of animals include many monkeys. My kids especially got a huge kick out of it and we appreciated the deep knowledge of our guide Jose who was also highly enlightening on Costa Rican culture. We asked him to recommend and stop at a typical Costa Rican soda to have lunch and it was incredibly good. The cook literally picked a mango off a tree and it was fantastic not to mention the fish. All in all a great experience with Olingo and we would absolutely recommend them!
