Al Chile Viola blew our minds! It was an amazing experience! They are closed on Sundays so we went on both Friday and Saturday evenings for dinner. We've eaten many great meals and the two we had there were both top notch. Emilio and Luce are a dynamite husband & wife team. Emilio is the head chef while Luce runs the front of the house. Everyone and everything at this restaurant was beautiful. We had the tuna carpaccio, the bull balls ravioli (which you'd never know was bull balls if someone didn't tell you, they are minced with herbs and so smooth--like a foie gras texture), the shrimp & eggplant ravioli, beef lasagna, and the pear and pecorino salad. I can definitely say it was the best ravioli in a light herbed cream sauce, and the best beef lasagna I've ever ever eaten. My boyfriend has traveled through Italy and he said the same thing! Everything was so delicate and had such a balance to it. The tuna was so fresh and light and I'm still dreaming about the pear and pecorino salad! Our waitresses both nights were super attentive and kind and fun and personable. Friday evening they had live music and it really added an extra special vibe to the atmosphere. We were staying at the Hotel Manala and Al Chile Viola was just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Can't say enough great things about this restaurant!

Excellent Italian meal with a great ambiance! Had an entree of fresh tuna baked in a crispy tortellini pasta. Was a very creative and delicious preparation...

Nice ambiance, but for the price we paid, we expected more. Our appetizer (bruschetta) was delicious, but our main courses were average tasting. According to others in the area, it can be hit or miss at this restaurant.

Atmosphere was lovely. Service was impeccable, wish I could remember her name. She reminded me of E's girlfriend on Entourage, very beautiful. We started with the antipasto it was delicious...wonderful chutney. Then 3 of us split 2 entrees. We had a late lunch. My husband and 11 year old son went for the bull's balls ravioli, how could they not? I had the steak and thinly sliced potatoes. Everything was wonderful including the passion fruit dessert that my son devoured. Made by our waitress!
Thank you for a great evening!

We ate at Al Chile Viole twice while on vacation in Santa Teresa. Luz and Emiliano - the owners - are incredibly warm and welcoming. Emiliano is originally from Florence and is the chef. We loved the homemade pasta, fantastic caprese and fresh fish dishes he prepared. Luz is a lovely presence in the outdoor dining area, which is illuminated by candles everywhere. The location and setting are also terrific - on the main dirt road, but set back enough that you feel totally transported. And for dessert, try the banana brownie! An incredibly yummy finale to our meal.
