The beach (Playa Santa Teresa) is an incredible destination if you are looking for warm water and lots of wide open beach. I've never been there when it was crowded. You are short walking distance for a plethera of food and drink options. The locals are friendly and everyone accepts American currency. It's all very convenient. I've been there once a year for 8 years in a row and can't wait to go back.

This beach is just how you imagine Costa Rica when you look at the pictures in your tradel guide. The long-stretched shore allows you to find your own private corner where you can relax and enjoy the view on the ocean. It is also great to sit under a palm tree and watch the sunset, while having an Imperial or two. The beach also offers several good beach breaks, with most consistent conditions during low tide. Beginners as well as experienced surfers will find a good spot to catch some waves.

At times it was bustling with surfers and at others we had the beach to ourselves. The water was warm and the waves were constant - known for surfing but wonderful for taking long walks. Clean, quiet and beautiful.

Nice wide open beach except during high tide. Great for nice long walks, you can walk for miles, and never crowded while we were there. Excellent shells if your into collecting. Unfortunately alot of garbage seems to wash up to but the beach is so wide this is just a "by the way" not a deterent. No telling how many toothbrushes we found. The surf can be mellow or quite wild at times. Lots of rocks.Great photo opportunities and some beautiful sunsets.

Long and unspoilt. Great waves for surfing/boogie boarding! Beautifull!
