this trip was great, could not have had more helpful host, in every aspect. This place is good for everyone family and friends. Right on the beach path, not even a minute walk to check the surf. By far the best part of C.R. that i have been to, this place is special and should be kept this way.

I spent 10 days in Santa Theresa with my brother and had the chance to stay at Pacifica Surf Studios for a few nights, it was literally the best spot during the whole trip but was also the most wanted :) I would have stayed more if we had made reservations prior. So make sure you call them up and lock things down solid. As for Simone, the owner, he's amazing and will help you out finding the best restaurants and bars in the area. He's also a good surfer, surf teacher and his hotel is right on the best surf spot in the area.

In short, am going back!!!!!

If you are going to Santa Teresa to surf and looking for a comfortable, affordable, close to spots location to stay, that's it! The closest place to the ocean, really it will take just a 30 seconds from your bad to the wave! Rooms have a huge balcony with hammocks and great view. You can even sleep on the balcony and listen the ocean. The best place to stay at Santa Teresa!

My husband and I have a 2 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. We arrived in Santa Teresa on August 19th, for a 6 week stay without reservations. We started out our trip at Pacifica Surf Studios, unsure if we would stay here the entire trip. After exploring the area, we did not find any other place that was as perfect as Pacifica. The studio apartments are large and spacious with wonderful patios for eating and laying in the hammock. The decor is simple, with beautiful woodwork, tile floors, and paintings and prints of surf/waves. The kids swam twice a day in the pool and the beach was only a 2 minute walk down the trail. My husband and I both surf and we have paddled out nearly everyday at Santa Teresa. Pacifica Surf Studios is small enough that it is not overimposing on the wildlife. We hear howler monkeys (and sometimes spotted them), each morning, as well as iguanas, geckos and a variety of birds. We've decided to stay here the entire time. Most travelers here rent an ATV, car, or at least a bike. We have kept it simple and walked everywhere. We cook most of our meals at the apartment in the simple kitchen. There is daily cleaning, but sometimes we decline if it is nap time. There are stores and restaurants nearby and if you want a surf-trip to another beach, Simon, or his partner, Pepe can set it up for you. Pepe took over the studios the second half of our trip, and actually brought us amazing fresh bread on occasion. There are other great surf shops only 2-5 minutes walk away - we liked 360 surf shop and Kina (Kina has a book exchange!). We took a couple of trips to Cabuya and Playa Hermosa, but otherwise stay close to "home" at Pacifica. This place is totally dreamy, I'm so glad we stayed here.

Great location, steps to the beach, nice rooms, very clean, affordable. Having been to Santa Teresa many times and stayed in a few different places, you'll not find a better fit than PSS if you want nice accomodations in a great spot. Simone the owner is great too. You really can't do much better if you are going to ST.
