“5 doesn't do it justice!”
Reviewed December 23, 2013 via mobile

We had originally booked a vacation home to stay at in Sittee Point. The place was a disaster and did not live up to it's representation. We stayed one night and began looking elsewhere in Hopkins. We traveled as a family of 5, 3 kids 17-10, we were having trouble finding a place big enough. We were lucky enough to come across Ed at Belezian Dreams who was able to accommodate us for 8 nights. We were even moved to a better view villa (and better internet connection) after the first night. The service is like no other. I have stayed at my share of 4 and 5 star resorts and the service you receive at BD is like no other. My 10 year old even commented that he felt he was being treated like a king! Chef Louis even came into our villa on our anniversary and cooked us an amazing meal, complete with appetizer and dessert. The laundry service was a lifesaver sine we packed light thinking we had a washer and dryer at our rental. We ate at several restraunts in Hopkins but none came close to what you could get from Louis at the Woven Palm restraunt on site and a better value than a few of the "upscale" places around town. We booked one excursion through them,a full day trip to the reef for snorkeling and fishing. We ate lunch at their sister property, Coco Plum Island, and when we returned, the restaurant prepared the fish we had caught for our dinner. Coco Plum is AMAZING and if I ever go back without kids,I am spending a few days there. Jose the bartender was great, try the. Coco Loco, you won't be sorry. The wait staff was professional, courteous and prompt. You just can't go wrong. The villa we had was spacious, beds comfortable and bathrooms nicely appointed. If you need a tv in your room, just ask. The internet in the rooms is practically non exsistant, it's in the common areas and if you are lucky enough to get a room by the pool, you may be able to connect. Keep in mind that a resort in Belize will still be in Belize. The roof leaked a little after days of rain and the roads are treacherous, especially after the rain but other than that,I have no complaints. If I could imagine a heaven, this might be it. Thank you Belezian Dreams for saving our vacation, making our 15th wedding anniversary so memorable and providing a vacation of a lifetime!

If I could give Belizean dreams 10 stars, I would. My wife and I stayed here with our 3 children, and I think the 10 year old said it best when he stated “they treat us like kings”. We had actually come upon the resort by accident, having booked a private home just a mile down the road in Hopkins. When that house turned out to be not at all as advertised, we went looking for vacancies and to our extreme fortune, we met Ed. Ed literally saved our vacation. He listened intently to our story of woe and promised he would work with the manager to see what he could do for us. He delivered, putting us up in one of their beautiful Villas overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Each day we awoke to the sound of the birds chirping and the sunrise on their meticulously maintained grounds. We had a decent sized kitchen to cook in, but chose to eat at their restaurant more often than we had planned because the food was so good.
Let me take a moment to comment on this. Their chef, “Big” Luis, was a professionally trained chef from Mexico. As it was also our anniversary, we scheduled a day of chef coming to our villa and cooking for our family, showing us how he did everything. It was first class. We had 2 chefs and 2 waiters JUST for us, and paid less than we had the night before at a restaurant down the street. Amazing!!!
It wasn’t just Ed and Luis who seemed to go out of their way. Eustice and George were funny, friendly and engaging, and every single staff member, even the groundskeepers, would ask how you’re doing and if you need anything every time you saw them. Everyone seemed fully invested in making the experience as wonderful as possible.
Their swimming pool was small but nice. That being said, they had kayaks for the taking, and a beautiful walk out beach you could snorkel and fish in. We took a boat out to Coco Plum island to fish and snorkel and they PICKED US UP RIGHT THERE ON THE BEACH! My ONLY complaint is, like everywhere we found in Belize, the internet didn't really work well in the villas. We found it worked well at the office, mediocre at the pool, and hardly at all in the villas. We spent so much time in the water it mattered less than I thought.
Take your wife, take your family, pack light and have them do your laundry. Have them cook for you. You will not regret it!!! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Room Tip: Villas 1, 2 and 3 can use the neighboring Jaguar reef wifi. There is not much of a gift shop, but th...

We just had to write about our amazing trip to Belize. We loved the rooms at the Belizean Dreams. They have the best servers - service and the very best bartender named Jose! (Tatoo)! He makes sure you enjoy your time and really makes it fun! Order a Coco Loco. The chef is Luis and he will cook your catch of the day!!! He is a amazing chef!!! There are also many activities to do daily! Thanks for a great trip to remember!!!!

My husband and I recently stayed at Belizean Dreams for our honeymoon. We have both been to many places in and out of the country and agree that this was hands down the best experience we have ever had! The staff is absolutely incredible. They are fun yet professional and happy to cater to your every need. We left feeling like we were saying goodbye to family. The accommodations were stunning. Plenty of space for any sized family, clean, and cultural all with a beautiful view of the ocean, mountains or both. The cook, Luis, was extremely skilled. We tried almost everything on the menu and we were never disappointed. They offer several different tours, all of which were fun and educational. The tour guides were also amazing. There are so many things to do even if you don't schedule tours. We spent a lot of time hanging out at the bar with the most incredible bartender, Jose, or kayaking in their free use kayaks. You can also snorkel right off of the beach and see anything from starfish to rays. It was the most incredible, fun, happy adventure we have experienced and we plan to return very soon! I would recommend this resort to anyone and everyone without a second thought!

Room Tip: Higher floors have a better view of the mountains and ocean but lower rooms are larger. I would reco...

We spent our 12 night honeymoon here the end of November. We were on an all-inclusive package. I'll cover the negatives first. The bar ran out of Crown Royal on our 2nd night. They ran out of JD 2 nights later. Then they ran out of Kahlua. No, we didn't drink it all ourselves.Despite many requests by the bartender and resort managers, head office never replenished these. The pizza was not available some days and the amazing jalapeno poppers were seldom available. Now for the positives. Our villa was absolutely perfect. Because of our long stay, we became well acquainted with all of the front line staff. Everything Chef Louis and Miss Pinky made were delicious. Bartender Jose is a blast and will never leave you thirsty. Try his fresh from the tree Coco Locos. Dorita and Irma are great waitresses. We especially want to thank Irma for the opportunity to spend some time with her beautiful family. We will cherish that time more than you will ever know. Kameesha and Heather were assisting the wait staff as part of a high school work experience program. We wish you the best when you start college next year.Sammy and Houstus were our evening waiters. They made every dinner a first class experience. We did three guided trips with Bernard. He knows his birds and his knowledge of the ancient Mayans during our tour of Xuantinich made the the visit more than just a sightseeing trip. Naomi, Ed, Mr. Gill, and Todd were the front desk staff and managers that were always able to help with any request we had. I hope the ownership group will fix the supply issue and never forget that the front line staff are the reason we would recommend Belizean Dreams to anyone looking for a relaxing tropical retreat mixed with a little adventure touring.

We chose Belize as our honeymoon spot and did a lot of research on resorts and finally decided on Belizean Dreams and are so thankful we did. Right from the beginning with booking the staff was super easy to work with. Upon arrival we were great with a great drink from Charles. We booked the honeymoon package and got 3 adventures. Our room was amazing and it was great to be right on the ocean. All the food was amazing. There wasn't one thing we didn't like and the helpings were large so you didn't walk away hungry. Bernardo was our guide for all of our adventures except for snorkeling. He was AMAZING and so knowledgeable! He truly made every day fun. We did the snorkeling our first full day there and it was awesome. Crispin and all the staff at Coco Plum were great. Crispin took us to 2 locations and we got to interact with so many different sea life. All the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. We wanted to do a different zipline then what they normally offer and Naomi arranged it all for us, no problem. I really can't say enough about the staff from the front desk to servers, to bartenders, to tour guides, they were all amazing. We also met some great couples who we will be life long friends with! Thank you Belizean Dreams for making our honeymoon unforgettable. We will be back!

This place is so friendly, they know your name right away and they are great at taking care of you! It's so nice because it's small so you're not fighting for beach chairs or pool room. We had at the most 5 other couples there when we were there, but we were there right before their busy season. Although they only have 9 villas so it's still small. There had been some major flooding right before we got there and some of our adventures we couldn't do because of high water. But instead of just not going they arranged for us to do other adventures or go on different days with their sister resort. We were very happy that they made the effort to try a fix something that wasn't in their hands to start with. We were able to borrow snorkle gear from the resort and snorkle off the shore which was great!! Jose, the bartender is awesome and so funny!!! They food was awesome!!! Very pretty and well kept grounds! Lots of great adventures to do. We did snorkling, zip lining, mayan ruins, and monkey river. It was a great honeymoon and hope to go back for our 5 or 10 year anniversary !!!
