My wife and I stayed here for four nights at the end of January earlier this year. The price for beachfront accommodation with continental breakfast was excellent. We had Room 4, "Seabreeze" which was one of the garden rooms. It was spacious, airy, clean and maintained daily. However, it was the closest room to the building site next door where Tony and Angela were having a boutique hotel built to provide more rooms and choice. The workmen arrived on the job at 7:00 a.m. and the noise continued throughout the day. This will not be an issue as of now as it seems the new rooms will be ready as of June.
Tony and Angela were welcoming hosts but we did not have to ask them to arrange trips as we had our own transportation. Tony is an excellent cook and his evening offerings were most tempting. We ate there every night except Wednesday when the restaurant was closed and we felt our meal at the Hamanasi was far inferior.
The beach was lovely for swimming and the chaise longues at the end of the pier a great place to relax away from the sand flies which could be a problem. Kayaks are available and we took advantage of them to explore further along the beach. All in all, good value for the price.

Room Tip: The two beachfront cabanas look straight out on the beach and the new rooms in the boutique hotel wi...

Stayed here in April for 5 days for a relaxing vacation. It was a wonderful place to stay. Tony and Angela make your stay carefree by helping you to plan events even if it is that same day. My friend and I went waterfall rapelling and zip lining in the jungle. The food at the resort is amazing and all the staff is very friendly and helpful. The guests that stay there are wonderful as well and love to interact with other guests. The only downside to the trip were the sunflies (bring baby oil and lots of insect repellant) but of course there is nothing that can be done about that. I would definitely return to this place.

We moved from the down scale hostel like jungle accommodations to this beautiful resort like hotel on the beach during our 9 day trip in Belize.
Tony and Angela were kind and attentive. Helped us set up excursions (snorkeling a first for the kids and the monkey river tour). The room was clean, beautiful, comfortable and good for our family (king bed + bunk beds).
The construction was a drag, starting before 7:00 and ending late in the day but we were out and about most of the time.
We ate at a lot of tiny shacks and had delicious local food but splurged on our last night for an AMAZING meal at Beaches and Dreams which ended with phenomenal chocolate mouse and coconut flan.
I miss it already!

Our family of four enjoyed a wonderful week-long vacation at Beaches and Dreams. Our stay was punctuated by wonderful excursions to the Zipline and Antelope Falls, to the Cave Tubing and a great day of snorkeling. Each day was capped with great food and friendly staff. We explored a few of the other restaurants in Hopkins -- some just up the beach from Beaches and Dreams and some a longer drive across the village. Driftwood is a particularly good spot of pizza and Loggerhead a nice spot for lunch. However, by far the best food in Hopkins can be found at Beaches and Dreams. Tony is a master chef -- offering up a fantastic array of fresh seafood, pasta and meat options. Angela is also a world class cook, as she created one dessert masterpiece after another. Our younger son had his 12th birthday while we were at Beaches and Dreams and Angela made a special birthday cake for him. The cake was great -- he was delighted -- we all enjoyed eating it.

The B&B setting in the Village of Hopkins is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing vacation far from the maddening crowds to the North. Friends of ours visited Beaches and Dreams for about a week and then headed North to San Pedro. They said there is definitely a more urban "buzz" to the North but that the snorkeling was "crowded" and not nearly as nice as the snorkeling trip they enjoyed with the Biggie, the Beaches and Dreams guide.

We visited at the beginning of April and it was HOT but the steady breeze off the water kept things relatively cool. The added benefit of the breeze was keeping down the bugs that are endemic to any tropical / jungle setting (bring some bug repellent). In addition to having a beautiful beach setting and great food, Tony and Angela have done a wonderful job of attracting and retaining a wonderful staff. We look forward to returning to Beaches and Dreams soon.

Room Tip: Tony and Angela are adding rooms in a "Boutique Hotel" that will include air conditioning...

My husband and I just returned from a 10 day trip to Belize. We started off with 5 nights at a beautiful lodge in the rainforrest with lovely accomodations, beautiful pool, good food, and great staff and very glad we tried the rainforrest experience. Then we headed down to Hopkins to Beaches and Dreams for the second half. We heard the ocean, we saw the cabanas, the Barracuda Bar and Grill and knew we "were home." The cabanas were clean and comfy, with a good, comfortable bed, fans (no a/c)...
everything we need and just our kind of place!!! The outdoor restaurant/bar with the ocean breeze was wonderful and relaxing. The beach was clean with very few people. Tony and Angie were the best hosts anyone could ask for. Raymond and Douglas were so much fun and took care of business serving our food and drinks. We can't say enough about the food... it was outstanding. Tony is an A1 chef and Angie makes killer desserts, so indulge, you're on holiday. We did not do all inclusive, but ate there every night going out for lunches as B&D is closed mid-day. For us, the bugs weren't that bad, but bug repellant is advisable. Tony can make arrangements for any tour; we went snorkeling with Biggy, which was awesome. Overall, my only complaint is our stay at B&D was too short. When we return (and should we split our vacation stays), we'll make sure to book more time at B&D. We loved this place!!!

Room Tip: Construction on new building is to be completed by June, 2014, so that noise will disappear.

The resort itself is beautiful. Tony & Angela are wonderful, breakfasts were delicious, Grounds are beautiful. However like everywhere in Hopkins the sand flies & other bugs are terrible. We went in the water & got bitten by little white bugs & from the ocean to our chairs got bit up by the sand flies before we could put on bug repellent. We booked on a whim, because we were staying at another place in Hopkins that we didn't care for, so took whatever room was available, if we booked in the future we would request ocean front. For Hopkins the price was in the ballpark of the other resorts, but we have found other resorts in other locations that were less expensive and just as nice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the ocean.

I found Beaches and Dreams on Home Away my best way to descibe the stay is a Carribean bed and breakfast. Angela and Tony are available but not at all intrusive. It is an all encompassing "resort" with out the large resort feel. The rooms have everything you need the view is priceless. It is clean and advertised very well on their website. I just cant say enough abou this vacation. It is truly a taste of paradise. The staff was wonderful, the location wonderful, Angela and Tony are wonderful. I think so much of this place that a friend of mine booked her stay even before I checked out. And the food at the restaurant is wonderful. Tony booked our flight from Belize City which was great. From the moment we landed in Belize to the moment we left the experience was priceless! I wouldnt change a thing and would absolutely go back!!

Room Tip: The TOUCAN room has an outstanding view!!
