Coconut Row was absolutely beautiful, and probably the easiest place to find in Hopkins...just off the main road and a block or two to the left. Damian and Nisha were attentive, friendly, and just downright wonderful. And a bonus; Nisha's breakfast was DELICIOUS! Best fry jacks of any place we tried them. Although the room was nice it was not luxury, but we didn't expect that for the price. It was definitely above and beyond what we could have asked for...so they get 5 stars for the value and service.

After having trouble finding a place to stay, we had the good fortune to get a lovely room at Coconut Row. We couldn't have been happier! One of the only guesthouses in Hopkins with a wide & well-tended beach, hammocks strung between palms too. The manager & his wife couldn't have been more helpful & welcoming. The room was the most luxurious we have had on our trip to Belize - large, spotless & elegant, even kitted out with a fridge & toaster.
With just a stones throw from the main bus drop, it was a perfect spot in the 'hub' of this sleepy village. We would recommend this to both higher end travellers & those wanting a few nights of luxury on a budget trip.

The day after Christmas we arrived as "lost souls" from the deepest depths of the Belizian jungle. Yes, we arrived in Hopkins at 6pm, with literally no reservations for next 6 days. Appearantly, we did not get the bulletin that traveling in Hopkins at this time of the year (without a reservation) comes with the risk of not having a place to stay. Well, the owners of the Guest House could not have been more accomodating to us when we truly needed help to find accomodations (for the rest of the week). We stayed with them two nights out of 6 (because they were full), but we wished we could have stayed there the entire 6 nights. The owners truly bent over backward for us (with too many little details to list here) and I can not tell you how much this was appreciated. You can tell that they care very deeply for their property and take great pride in keeping up with all the cleanliness of the private beach and the rooms. The customer service was better than any resort we ever visited and we highly recommend staying at Coconut Row, if Hopkins, Belize is in your travel plans. We found it to be a home away from home.

We really enjoyed staying at Coconut Row. The location is perfect, with enough cafe's and restaurants around the corner (Hopkins is quite spread out) and a beautiful clean private beach.
The room we had was perfectly clean, spacious and with very comfortable beds. Even beach towels were included.
The staff is amazing, everyone knows you by name and is extremely friendly and helpful. They only are a reason to book your stay here.
This is definitely the best place to stay in Hopkins, we were sad to be leaving again. A five star recommendation, but it would be ten if that was possible.

Beautiful rooms, magnificent view, clean sandy beach, helpful hosts that will make sure you have everything you need! Pretty much the only place in Hopkins that gives you five star accommodations but allows you to be close to the locals. We can't thank our hosts enough for giving us the last room the inn on Christmas Eve. We'll definitely stay here again if we ever come back this way :)

Hopkins, Belize is a relaxing little fishing village. The owners of Coconut Row ensure that your visit allows you to relax and enjoy the tranquility. The rooms at Coconut Row are modern, clean, large (suite really) and each has a unique motif. The owners add the personal touch by making sure all of your needs are met -- they will stop by and chat while you are relaxing on the private beach, assist you with organizing any day trips, provide a scrumptous breakfast (even on the go for an early departure). We even had the experience of enjoying some local drummers (actually the top drummers of Hopkins) one evening.

This hotel is certainly on my recommended and return list.

My birthday was Dec 7 so I planed a Belizean adventure to mark turning 4-0. My wife and I flew into Ladyville, rented a car from Crystal Auto (definitely use those guys) and drove away. The highways were fine and we had no problem navigating around Belize. After driving in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, Belize was quite nice. Oh.. I put over 600 miles on that jeep patriot in 6 days. I wanted to see Belize and trust me... we did.... all the way down to PG where we ate bbq at Malukas on the water!

We arrived at Coconut Row Dec 6 late in the evening. Damian's staff welcomed us and helped us into our room. In fact, I didn't actually check-in until the next morning because Damian was gone and his staff trusted that we weren't gonna skip out. That's a great feeling.

I did all the research on Belize and Hopkins and decided Coconut Row would be perfect for my wife and I. We weren't looking for an expensive "resort" type place since we were highly mobile and really only needed a clean bed, bath and safe homebase. Keep in mind, Hopkins is a Garifuna fishing village (literally), so don't go expecting Ambergris or Folly Beach. We were only staying 2 nights so Coconut Row was a perfect choice.

We stayed in the CocoLoco Room. Nice. Clean. AC worked great. Shower was fine. Bathroom satisfied my wife. What more could you ask?

The beaches in Belize are different... there are NO WAVES (literally), the sand is a little course because of this. Don't go expecting Virgin Islands or Hawaiian sand/beach experiences. The 2nd largest barrier reef in the world creates a very unique environment. Enjoy Belize for that special characteristic. Bugs? Sure... it's Belize. Depending on when you go there are sand fleas, mosquitos, etc... but that comes with the territory. Easily manageable with baby oil, bug spray or long pants.

We hooked up w/ Noel (known locally as "Wij") who took us snorkeling for the afternoon. Noel was a great guy. He knows nearly all the fish and is a pleasure to spend time with. Although, I would encourage anyone who can to bring their mask and snorkel. Just sayin'. ;)

We ate at numerous locations the 2 days and nights we spent in Hopkins. King Casavas had a very good chicken, rice, veggie stir fry. I was actually surprised. It was across the street from Coconut Row so I used it as our "grab a drink get something easy place". The food out at Chef Rob's Gourmet Cafe was very very good... definitely get out there, he's a 1/4 mile or so South of Coconut Row and will give you that resort - first class dining experience... in flip flops.

The people of Belize were fantastic. I practically made friends everywhere we went. Chef Rob's staff was a blast. Noel was great. The girls at King Casava were exactly what I would have expected from Belize.

I can't say enough about Damian and his respect for our staying with him. He and I shared coffee and talked each morning. I commend him for his kindness and the simple quality of his place. I told him to charge more... I would have paid another $10/night.
