Great prices and delicious flavor. We ate here several times and loved the fish, the shrimp and the quesadillas. Staff was generally friendly and helpful. One tip-- don't eat here on a busy night! We came for dinner on Easter, waited for 90 minutes and left frustrated without eating. The place was packed and understaffed that night, and the experience was not representative of our 3 other times eating here.

The seating for the restaurant area is a few picnic tables, that get the job done. What you expect outside in a beach town. My husband and I had garlic shrimp that was good. The kids had grilled cheese sandwiches and quesadillas. Both were good and reasonably priced. A fine place for a meal, just be aware if you have kids, that it is also a bar. A few tipsy patrons with less than stellar language. We would go back, but maybe a little earlier in the evening.

It was hard to rate King Kassava because we had the least favorite meal our entire week there, but at the same time it was a great place to hang out for a drink.

It is located on the corner of the main intersection (If there is such a thing as a main intersection in Hopkins!) and was a great place to watch life go on in town. Friday night they had Garifuna drummers which were possibly the best thing King Kassava. Go for a drink, people watching and enjoy the drumming.

As for the food, we were extremely disappointed. We went for dinner, and many things were sold out...no problem. Half of us ordered the rice and beans with shrimp and the other half the daily special. Our rice and beans were just so-so but it was the daily special that was the true disappointment. The sides were instant mashed potatoes and Kraft macaroni and cheese. We do not use processed foods, and I think that meal was the only time all week we were served processed food.

If we return to Hopkins we will go back to K.K. for a beer and drumming but will not order a meal.

This is a 'restaurant' on the corner of the main dirt road crossing in town when you enter.
It is more of a roadside food stand with some picnic tables on the dirt out front.
The food was not great, the service not outstanding, and the prices crazy for what you got - I do not recommend this place.
There is a nice place just down the street - same prices, and better everything, including a proper eating area.

Most folks love this place. We found it good but not amazing. Nothing wrong with it, good food at a decent price. Would love it more if I was traveling sans kids.
