Stayed here for a few nights, it was wonderful. While I may have been biased after a week in the jungle, I still think it was excellent. Everyone was really friendly, the food was wonderful, the location amazing. It's the perfect place to escape for a while. Stayed in the Sea Chalet, had a wonderful view of the ocean.

This was exactly what we were looking for as far as bang for your buck. The room was beautiful with a see view for a great price! Sleeping and waking to the sounds of the waves was just what the doctor ordered. We completely relaxed for the two days we visited Hopkins (which wasn't so easy for Mark, he loves to go go go !) But i was able to finally put a dent in my book!

Jeanie was kind and helpful and had her dogs running around which we LOVED! they surfed and everything it was great.

we walked the beach and visited the quiet village of Hopkins. It was relaxing and enjoyed it very much

If you are looking for a luxurious resort style hotel- this is not the place for you. If you want to feel like your visiting family who live ON the beach then look no further. The rooms are small- no TVs, no A/C, no closets, and no real bathroom door (treehouse). It sounds like it would be terrible but it's SO not. The rooms all have an amazing view of the beach and ocean and are very affordable. The location is about a 15 minute walk into town. We rented a golf cart in town which made it a little easier to get back and forth. Make sure to stop and see the hemp lady on your way in. Her bug repellent really works.

Jeanie and her husband are amazing. So welcoming and helpful- the will help you with anything from food suggestions to day trips. Barb at the front is awesome too. The kitchen staff is so accomodating and willing to make anything you want. Don't miss breakfast at Jeanie's! Very affordable and a great way to get your day started. They have a large table in the main room so we all sat together for our meals. We met some great people hanging around at the breakfast table.

The thing that makes Jungle Jeanie's an amazing place to stay is just the overall feeling. The beach is beautiful, the water is warm, and the people are nice. The security dogs are welcoming too.

Stayed four nights in the Gumbo Limbo cabin at Jungle Jeanie's in April. The waves crashing on the shore was a great way to fall asleep each night. While we didn't use the kitchenette, it was nice to know we could have bought a few things at the Hopkins grocery store and cooked in if we felt like it. The elevated, shaded cabin was great in the heat, as was the hammock outside. I took a great yoga class onsite two of the days, and spent the rest on the beach or inside eating fresh fruit and great cookies and muffins. The fish was also an outstanding dish!

We spent a total of 4 nights at Jungle Jeanie's. We couldn't have been more pleased. Three nights in the Jungle Loft was perfect for our family of 6--very comfortable--and they found room for us our last night after staying out on a Caye in the Palmetto Cabana--again, just wonderful. Kids had fun playing in the beach, beautiful property. Safe safe safe. John and Jeanie were always around to have a chat with and the dogs do a great job keeping their guests/staff safe. E-mails with Barb before our arrival were helpful and she was a pleasure to meet once we arrived. Great base for our diving adventures with Hopkins Underwater. Helped to make our visit to Hopkins smooth, fun and enjoyable!

We stayed 4 nights in the Tree House after a 9 day adventure-filled Belize adventure with our family, and it was a perfect ending. We stayed in the Tree house, with the most beautiful view. The staff was great, really helpful. I had numerous e-mails to Barb before we got there, as we changed our plans frequently, and she always answered promptly with great information. She took care of our travel arrangements to take the plane from Dangriga back to Belize Airport. Food was great. We had dinners and breakfasts there, and walked into town daily for lunch. Jeanie took the time to give me a private paddle board lesson.

Room Tip: If you don't like dogs or barking, they have big dogs that stay under the Tree House. They are...

Jungle Jeanie rocks.

We were a little nervous about leaving Caye Caulker because we were having such a great time, but the minute we set foot in our "tree house," we knew we had made the right decision to come to Hopkins. Our room was extremely spacious and even included a private balcony and hammock.

We ate breakfast at Jungle Jeanie's every morning, and by the third day the entire staff felt like family. Jeanie would come to check up on us at least twice during the morning and John would entertain all of us with his jokes.

Barbara made great travel arrangements for us and was very organized.

Every afternoon, Pedro would get us some fresh coconuts and bring them to us while we relaxed on the (almost private) beach.

Overall, Jungle Jeanie became our home away from home and we can't wait to return!
