This hotel is fairly new with a design based on the original, which apparently was the first hotel on this stretch. We were only here a weekend but were impressed with the size of the rooms. We had a standard room but it was huge and the bathroom was huge! It was light, airy with a very modern twist on the 'colonial' theme, which hotels often get completely wrong. The shower was great and all the little treats including free flip flops and free soft drinks in the mini bar were good, as was the breakfast. Our only gripe was that guests were allowed to reserve tables for breakfast, which meant that the best tables overlooking the beach were empty. Reserve for dinner, yes ok but breakfast? The beach was pretty good but the sea is a muddy colour here, however you'll probably want to sit round the pool which is pretty good. We had a look at the other big resorts on this beach and they looked a bit dated, so I'd recommend you stay here.
