We were staying at Shangri-la Rasa Sayang Rasa Wing and were told about this restaurant by our concierge for having a deal on Monday on Tuesday nights , the deal it pay for one adult and get one adult and to kids free , so for a total of RM 150, it was all you can eat sushi , shrimps , crabs and what not.
The taste of food was great and refills were frequent , Shangri-la spared no expense as even the Sushi has caviar coatings on it.
Overall loved and will definitely try again when next time in Batu Farranghi

We had to wait more than a week to get a table for the Monday/Tuesday buffet night. If you only here for a short time & keen to go to this buffet it may be worthwhile to book a table prior to your arrival so you don't miss out.
We had dinner at 6.30pm & this early time was great as we nearly had it all to ourselves.
The selection & variety is excellent but they are truely outstanding in the dessert area!
The two for one deal is a bit of a misnomer though as RM178 ++ (plus tax & service) it seems that the price is really what you would pay for two people anyway.
We have been to this hotel for a meal a few times & one of the things we have noticed is the staff seem so serious & solemn compared to the happy & relaxed staff of the Lone Pine Hotel.
We were sat outside & this was great as the huge trees & beautiful plantings were gorgeous to look at.
The high standard of food, attentive service & outside gardens at the Spice Market
make it a great evening out.

Thanks to someone else's review - we asked about the buy one get one free nights on Monday and Tuesday nights. If you are around the area when it is Monday/Tuesday, and you love food, this buffer is certainly worth the deal.
Must book early as the place does get full very quickly. We booked on the day and were lucky to get in however we were told that we would have to be sitting outside.
If you're not a fan of the heat - or trying to enjoy lots of food in the heat, suggest booking a lot earlier to ensure you get an indoor table. Make sure you leave room for dessert - there is so much choice. The quality of food is fantastic - high quality food. The service is great too. In terms of choice, you have Japanese, Indian, Malaysian, Chinese, Western all covered off. But the desssert choices were fantstic.
Highly recommend this place. Even the locals know about it.

The quality and large selection of food available is amazing. Dinner is Buffet or a la Carte. Unusually high quality for the variety available.
Breakfast in the Spice Market is "the best" of any hotel group I have stayed in. So many choices - healthy, western, asian, japanese, etc ... just everything.
