We were staying opposite at Bayview Beach and used this restaurant once for dinner and a couple of times for lunch. Don't expect fancy decor, but do expect delicious Indian dishes, tasty pizzas and kebabs, together with good friendly service.
Excellent value that caters for all tastes.

Amen to all the reviews below. It needs to be pointed out that the cafe is physically split in two, with the LHS being "dry", as in no beer available, out of respect for the many Muslims who dine there.
Waiting staff are quick, efficient and helpful. They have a specialised pizza chef who also does their famous naans in his oven. When we were there, a German expat had his own table and a few beers, and is very helpful with local knowledge.

This is right accross the road from the Bayview where we were staying but if you're residing further up the beach, I would still recommend a visit. The food is great, we mainly had Indian but I did try a tandoori pizza one night that was great too. Service is very quick & all really friendly guys who welcomed us back every night. Realllllly cheap, we couldn't believe the prices, our family of 4 ate for around $25AUD which included a couple of beers.

It´s not easy to find this style of food in Malaysia, the reason being that it´s North Indian cuisine (these guys are from Bangladesh), where the vast majority of Indians in Penang (and Malaysia) are Tamils, hailing from the south. Personally I far prefer it over the South Indian menu.

Located directly opposite Bayview resort on the southern end of Jalan Ferringhi, on offer is a large selection of North Indian dishes. We shared the tandori lamb (RM14) and a spinach potato korma RM8, a carrot juice and a mango lassie. The food came quickly and it was all to our liking and very tasty.

The staff are friendly without being try hard, and Mani spent some time chatting to us about India and Bangladesh.

The decor is basic, but the place is clean with cloth on the tables. Toilet facilities are decent.

As with all the other restaurants in Batu Ferringhi, you should know that you will pay a premium in the Ferringhi tourist haven. Having said that, Enca is not over the top expensive. The carrot juice was only RM4 and the mango lassie RM6. The total bill came out at RM34. There was no service charge or Government tax added.

Enca has been added to my list of excellent restaurants that I love in Penang.
