We had the Saturday Seafood Buffet here after reading good reviews and wasn't disappointed. Although it is expensive by Penang standards, it was cheap compared to Australia and much better. The food was amazing and even included lobster. Well worth the money in our opinion. The service and ambience was great too.

I just had a great Seafood buffet dinner in Tamarind Brasserie Parkroyal Penang yesterday night. The original price is RM 156++, but they are giving 35% discount now :). The discounted price is about RM 117 per pax, and it is worth for what we had there.

Food: The quality is great and the variety is fine! Some main items including:
-Main dishes: Lobster, big prawn, soft shell crab, crab, baked salmon, mussel, cod fish, sea cucumber with mushroom, grilled lamb, percik chicken, salmon sashimi, unagi and octopus cold slices.
-Dessert: Cheese cake, black forest, chocolate cake, jelly, nyonya kuih, crepe cake, Baskin Robbins ice cream(a total of 5 favours) for the dessert.
-Besides normal coffee and tea, they also served espresso, cappuccino and green tea.

Service: Their waiters are all local, who are very friendly to the guest with smiles on their faces when serving us. They are caring too as I accidentally dropped my napkin and immediately one waiter came over to replace a new one for me. Besides, they also had live performance who entertained the guest with light music, which is quite relaxing.

Ambience: It is an open air restaurant near to the sea. If you got there earlier, you could even enjoyed the sunset view.

I would definitely come back again!

A great seafood buffet at a reasonable price. The seafood was all nice and fresh with a great selection of mussels, scallops and fish all freshly cooked for you.
Salad bar was ok, with a reasonable selection, but the deserts were great. The kids loved the chocolate fountain while I satisfied myself with the waffles with a range of toppings.
Also the setting beside the seaside is great. If you have children get there a bit earlier so the kids can wear themselves out playing at the beach 100m from the restaurant.

Nice location, nice fresh seafood at a good price.
