This was the first time we have visited this restaurant after being recomended by a friend. We had a lovely night there. Food we felt was top class. Run by a lovely couple - Ben and Amy.

Lovely to look at the old phot's of Batu before all the hotels and cond's took over.

Would've visited again but just ran out of time

Would say to anyone give it a visit

We had some sizzling prawn dish - it was lovely

Will certainly visit again when next in Batu Ferrignhi

Unfortunately I had tonsillitis towards the end of our holiday and was told by the dr not to eat spicy food (easier said than done). This spoilt my meal here as I wasn't able to have any of the recommended dishes although we did try out the squid which was very nice. My husband had the Rendang Curry but actually preferred the one he had at The Boatman a couple of days earlier. The service is very good and friendly.

We stayed at the bay view resort which is next to the hard rock cafe.

Walked to the living room cafe in the night for dinner, I loved the ambience and warm welcoming staff.

Very western oriented food with local choices but pretty decent and tasty.

In specific enjoyed the fried rice, salt and pepper squid and fish & chips. Big portions and decently priced. Saw real bacon somewhere hence suspect this is non halal for those interested.

They do breakfast as well and open at 9am, will be going that way again for sure.

Oh for the bottles and cans they have a keep cool cover which keeps that drink cooler for a bit longer, useful in the warm tropics :)

Overall great experience

Love the Kapitan Curry Prawns and Salt & Pepper Squid. For locals, you may want to ask for more spicy. Their spicy level are toned down to suit the foreigner taste bud.

We tried this restaurant last year on our holiday and went back again this year. Amy and Ben make this such a great experience. The food is very good and Amy and Ben mingle with their patrons during the evening. It was like seeing old friends and having a great meal.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
