Description: Long Beach is a collection of street stalls surrounding the sitting area. It is located outside and offers many cuisines including Malaysian. In the area there are not so many restaurants offering Malay food so I thought it appropiate to add this 'restaurant' to the listings, although most would probably not class it as a conventional one!

This is an open air food court. You go up and order don't when they bring it to your table you then pay. Super cheap, tasty and fast. Has pizza, spring rolls, Chinese, satays, pancakes, drinks etc. so much variety and so busy. Go check it out.

We had dinner two out of the four days we were in Batu Ferringhi at Long Beach. The food was mostly very good. We had great spring rolls, great tandoor chicken, great chicken satay and not so great Singapore fried bee hoon.

As others note, you find a table, they will take your drink order and then you go to the stands to place your order and provide your table number. When he food is delivered you pay. Most items are under 10MR. The spring rolls have increased to 4MR each (which is still quite a deal), the tandoor chicken was 8MR including naan, rice and vegetables, the satay was 8MR for 10 sticks. My wife wanted to get 20 sticks the second time we went but then we wouldn't have been able to try as many other items.

Overall, a great, lively fun place for a meal or three.

If you are looking for somewhere to eat great food at night and don't want to go into George Town, then Long Beach is the place. Lots of variety but select a place where they will cook your feed before your eyes.

Very good value for money, this food court / hawker center has a mix of everything local (Indian/Malay/Chinese) with some other stands thrown in for good measure - something for everyone.

we ate here 3 times and could have more but really needed to give other places a go. the indian food from tandori corner was as yummy as it was 2 years ago and I'm embarrassed to admit we have never tried anything else at long beach because we cant resist the tandoori food. reasonable prices meant ordering a variety of food that we will always remember. next time we will try other foods from around this great hawkers café. not to be missed
