Review of Long Beach

Long Beach

Description: Long Beach is a collection of street stalls surrounding the sitting area. It is located outside and offers many cuisines including Malaysian. In the area there are not so many restaurants offering Malay food so I thought it appropiate to add this 'restaurant' to the listings, although most would probably not class it as a conventional one!

“Truly unique & incredible!”

Been to Batu Ferringhi atleast 4 times now And every time there are additions to this food court making it even better.

The great thing about this place is each member of the family can have something different for starter main or pudding.

You can have some Chinese rice and spring rolls to start & an Indian curry with garlic bread if you wanted for main!

The waitresses come to the table to sell drinks which are very reasonably priced, big TV's with all the sport on if watching the hustle & bustle isn't for you.

Great place to stop for a drink or sack after viewing the market or just a pit stop midway through.

Truly amazing & unique

“Great hawker fare...”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

On the recommendation of my hosts, I ventured out of the Lone Pine and went 5 mins away to Long Beach. Try the tom yum fried rice at the vendor on the left near the entrance and the hokkien prawn mee from the vendor directly across the square. Both are outstanding. Ask the tom yum fried rice vendor to tone down the spice, as even when I asked it was hot! But great!!

“Fantastic mish mash!”

What a great find, wonderful, fresh, tasty and such variety of food. Find a table, preferably under a fan take note of table number then wander the array of food on offer. Have to say it was a good experience to be repeated again and again, oh and so reasonable!!

“Always good and very cheap!”

Have eaten from most of the stall and the food is really good. Make sure you tip the drinks people well as they do a great job in quite a hectic environment. I love the ice lychee drinks, the pancake stall and the northern Indian are my favourites.

“Yummy doesn't have to be pricey”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

Family skipped the buffet dinner in Shangri-La to try this hawker-style establishment. We (including the kids) enjoyed the food and the experience! The place is a melting pot of delicious cuisines. The stall owners are nice and the ambience is casual. This place is a fantastic display of Penang's gastronomic delights!
