Our first night in Penang we decided to explore and go out and look to see what is available for food. We had been told aboout Longbeach by several people who go to Penang every year so decided to try it out.
The place was totally packed however after keeping our eyes open for people leaving we found a table and sat down. The idea is not to leave the table unattended or you will lose it.
We could not believe our eyes with the variety of food and the cost, so cheap. It was a hard decision but finally went for the spring rolls, barbecued garlic prawns and fresh lime juice.
The total cost for the two of us was $15, we went back every night we were in Penang and this was the most expensive meal. Most nights we spent between $7 and $10AUD for two.
Do not be put off by the numbers, be patient and once you have a table you will find the food is delivered very quickly.
Highly recommend spring rolls, chicken sticks, barbecued prawns, Indian (in the back corner).
