Food was tasty at reasonable prices with quick service. Standard chinese restaurant food. Not alot of people When we entered but crowd grew. Belacan was a winner after there plates with the fried rice especially with salted fish.Kuay teow was good for the price but tasted better around other areas. Beer was cheap by the bottle which us always a plus.

Taste is ok and acceptable. But not very authentic compared to other malaysian chinese dishes you can find like in gurney drive.

We have been to this restaurant for many years, Rick (the owner) and his wife are very welcoming and you feel like family, the food is fantastic, Breakfast ,lunch and tea great! Great value and they will bend over backwards to make anything you want. Make sure that you are there when Ricky is on as the food can be not as memorable.

This place is great , myself and my wife have been to Penang 26 times over the last 7 years , so i speak from long term experience , Ricky ( the owner ) is pure gold , feels like we are visiting old friends every time we go there , great price , good food and nothing is too much trouble , do yourself a favour and give it a go.

We had dinner over a weekend in December and i cannot understand how this place managed to get its ratings. I will give it credit for the good points i.e. eager service and cheap prices. The bad points : Food was salty and run of the mill. The teenage girl who took our order clearly had no idea whether the amount of food ordered was enough (it was not, but that was a blessing actually as we went elsewhere to "top up" later). If you have no other options, and are just looking for something to fill up your stomach then this is the place for you. Tip to non-locals: If you would want some proper Penang food, please make a trip to town, its not too difficult even on a budget (bus Service 101 is frequent enough).
