“Great value for money!”
Reviewed December 15, 2013

I stayed in a executive suite with 2 Queen sized beds. Room was very spacious with a small pantry area separated from the beds. Bathroom was big with a luxurious bathtub. Understand from the locals that hotels away from the city centre (such as Ramada) tend to be bigger. Drive to the city centre is only 10mins and cost approximately 12RMB. Definitely a great staying experience!

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Hotel lobby was small but staff was rather helpful. They offer different type of rooms and I was fortunate to have a small double room with attached bathroom. Room was beautifully done up with great lighting with basic toiletries provided. Bed was clean and the air condition is very powerful. For a frequent Singaporean traveller like me, I would say that the room is about 4 star standard. All the TV program in the room is CCTV channel. There's no other international channels to watch.
There are also no complimentary mineral water provided. However, I saw instant coffee & tea on the rack for the guest.
The breakfast area was small and the menu repeats itself day after day. Honestly dreaded breakfast after the 2nd day of stay.

There are some small shops around for shopping. A taxi ride of about 10 RMB will get u to the central shopping area. Basically an open shopping area with several shops. Do not expect any shopping malls.

Overall, it's a cosy hotel to stay in .

I spent one night at the Ramada Meizhou for a business trip.

This hotel is perhaps the most western in terms of standard for hotels in Meizhou but operates like a local hotel. Service was mediocre at best; check-in and check-out was painfully slow and full of interruptions by other staff.

The room was comfortable and clean and reasonable value.

I arrived late and all food service options at the hotel were closed - including the room service menu not being orderable. The staff were kind enough to escort me over the road to a street restaurant where I was able to get some dumpling.

Breakfast was included and pleasant (local fare).

A big fuss was made at check-out about the laundry bag I had kept so I willingly paid the RMB7 requested for this.

This hotel was excellent value for money in Meizhou. It deserves 3.5/5, but this isn't a rating option!
Location – on a main road with a number of small nearby convenience and fruit stores. Easy to get a taxi or pedicab outside the hotel. However, a good 2km walk to get to central Meizhou. A few restaurants within 1.5km walk also.
Reception – very friendly and helpful front desk staff with a small amount of English. Check-in / check-out were easy and efficient.
Restaurant – we didn’t try, although it seemed very busy every night.
Room – we stayed in a deluxe double room for about $40 USD per night, which was really good value for money. The room was spacious and clean, the furniture a little tired but no big deal for the price! Free in-room wi-fi worked well. We also used the hotel laundry & dry-cleaning which was good & very cheap; the minibar items were also very well-priced.
Overall we felt that the Ramada was a good base in Meizhou, and excellent value for money. Would recommend if staying in Meizhou.

Room Tip: Although when booking online some of the rooms say "no view" - this didn't mean no win...

Our deluxe twin room on the eighth floor was pretty spacious and quiet. The bathroom is clean and looks like it was recently refurbished. We could not detect wifi in our room but there was free wifi connectivity in the lobby. The location of the hotel is strategic--almost right in the middle of everything! There are convenience stores, restaurants, cafes, boutiques, etc. in adjacent streets.

**It seemed like the online room rates were more affordable than rack (walk-in) rates, but this needs to be confirmed by the hotel management.

The spacious deluxe twin beds room with writing desk, 2 reclining sofa, beautiful bathroom, kitchen sink with microwave and the very service-minded staffs made our 3 days stay very comfortable and happy.

The location is perfect, quiet enough in this chaotic city, close to community market and supermarket, easily travel around by bus, taxi and tuk tuk (3 wheeler vehicle).

Good value and highly recommended.

Friendly and efficient check in. The rooms are spacious with work table, sofa, good lightings, well placed mirror, a beautiful life orchid plant for ornament and a clean spacious bathroom. The welcome drink is a coffee maker next to the reception. Great coffee and not only that but you could help yourself to it anytime. A very nice surprise on the first night of the stay is a call to ask if we need supper. Indeed it was provided at no extra cost and the hot and delicious pork rib porridge was served to us after 9.30pm. The same supper delighted us on the 2nd and 3rd nite as well.
We rent an extra room twin beds with the automatic mahjong table at 485 RMB just for a nite of mahjong game. Apparently the mahjong table cost about 180 RMB per nite. Book ahead as it is limited.
A nice Hakka restaurant across the road but a little tricky crossing the road even on a zebra crossing. The lane alongside the hotel entrance is a good foot massage center, a hair saloon, further in is a local supermarket. On the same side of the hotel of this lane are 2 small shops that opens early in the morning with hakka mee, dimsum, pau, soya bean and fried mee. If you have had enough of the hotels breakfast, go for it. Just point at what you want and sit down to be serve.
Nothing much in the vicinity but ask the reception to write down the shopping area in Chinese and flag down a taxi to take you there at cost 7 RMB only. You could request the reception to arrange for your need to rent a pick up that seats 7 for a day's outing at 500 RMB all inclusive.
