We had room #3 upstairs, the room is very pretty with lots of space and it's own character. The open concept of the bath tub adds charming to the room, the hidden toilet gives lots of fun. There is a good-size of pool at the backyard in a lovely garden where we had a chance to use and enjoyed. The owners, Corrie and Tielman, treated us like guests of importance. Corrie is very good in house decoration and handicrafts. She decorated the breakfast table and even made the little watermelon in a star-shape. Tielman's self-baked bread is wonderful. We took more than normal.

The B&B's location is right in the middle of the town. The town itself is a lovely small town and is very safe to walk around. Having traveled from Cape Town we were wondering that most of the houses left the gates opened! Our little daughter had a great time at the hot spring pool about 1 km from the town. It is not only a pool but well-done like a play ground.

Not far from B&B there is a bird sanctuary and a very nice trail that joins the town and the hot spring.

We regret that we only stay one night, if not because we have fixed our whole trip, we definitely will stay few more nights with Corrie and Tielman in Montagu. My husband said Montagu is his most favorite town of all the 3-week traveling in South Africa and so do I.

Thank you very much Corrie and Tielman.

Lovely old house, a lot of thought and detail has gone into the decorations inside, and the rooms are clean and spacious. In keeping with the old style the rooms come with bath instead of shower. There is a pool in the back. Hosts are attentive and the breakfast is lovely: choice of cereal and toast with several preserves plus an English breakfast cooked to taste.

Even though my dad stays in Montugu I will defenitly go and stay a night with them, or we will just pop in and have a coffee and a friendly visit.

Airlies B&B is in the center of the small town of Montagu. Friendly, cozy environment, beautiful garden, nice pool. Big rooms and fine beds. The owners try their very best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The three lovely dogs who also live there get a lot of attention. Just around the corner there is a nice restaurant where you can enjoy lunch and dinner. Most of the shops are in Bad St.
In the neigbourhood of Montagu is Cogmanskloof where you can walk around, you can visit winefarms and also Klaasvoogds Nature Reserve between Ashton and Robertson, who do have game drives for R280 to see Zebra and all kinds of Bokkies.

We love everything about this hotel: the deco, the friendly owners, the food, the bath tub in our room, etc. We had a great time there. Everything is perfect. See the pictures..
Will definitely go back to visit some day!
