Stayed here in November and couldnt recommend it highly enough. Its located on the hillside in Fish Hoek with great views across the town and False Bay. The decoration is extremely homely and comfortable with a very nice garden and rooms. Ron, Gill and their daughter were so welcoming and kindly managed to reserve a table at the Harbour House restaurant at the last minute. The breakfast was fantastic and there was so much of it! We were only here for one night but would gladly have stayed for longer. Must also mention Rosie the dog. She will have you throwing sticks to her in the garden within 5 minutes of arriving! We had such an amazing time at Tranquility. We will definitely be back! The attention to detail and the personal touch throughout the guest house, together with the very friendly staff, made for a fantastic stay! It felt as though the staff where friends, and always available for anything we needed or wanted, and yet we always felt like we had our privacy! You will not get a better breakfast anywhere else, or a better view of Fish Hoek and the Bay! Rosie, the border collie, provided great entertainment and was loads of fun to take on our walk up Elsies Peak. Even if you just want to throw her a stick out back, she is very keen, and very friendly! This place is really not to be missed! We will be back!

Room Tip: The honeymoon Suit has the best views!

Tranquility Guest House is the best Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed at and I have been to a few! I will return! You are made to feel very welcome and the standard of the accommodation is very good. They are positioned quite high up on the side of the mountain which makes for the most incredible views of the sea, the surrounding mountains and the town which looks even more amazing at night. It is a good place from which to explore the whole Cape peninsula including Cape Town itself so stay for a few days or more!

Room Tip: All four rooms are excellent (I had a peep at all of them) with first class en-suite facilities but...

The owners are the kindest and most anxious to please-people you can imagine. Breakfast is unbeatable, views are true postcards and the accommodation makes you feel at home right away. We stayed at Tranquility guesthouse for 6 days and wish we could stay longer. We stayed at the Rose room which has its own catering possibilities, but we only boiled water for a cup of coffee or thee. There where many good restaurants for any value and breakfast is enough for lunch too. We preferred Harbor House a perfect seafood restaurant in a perfect setting, although a bit up market. There is also a fish market and seals come ashore to bag for fish. Prices for food and wine are far better then we are used to in Holland. From Tranquility you have many places to go to: Cape Town, the wine lands (Delheim estate!!), Cape of Good hope and so on. Beautiful drives to get there. Ask Gill for advice for anything. We would like to thank Gil, Ron, Desirée and Rosie for their hospitality. No doubt: strongly recommended!

Room Tip: All 4 rooms are excelent. If you want more privacy take one of the upper rooms.
