I am not really sure where to start! We went down to Alatoa to get some peace and quite while working in Moresby. This place was ideal. From the onset, we were greeted by friendly staff and looked after in every way.
After having a long discussion with their Captain extraordinaire 'Wesley' we decided an impromptu fishing trip was in order. We notified reception, in the early afternoon, and by morning they had organised everything for us. We went on a four day fishing trip and surprisingly, given the short notice we had given them, a very well organised one at that. We caught an abundance of Mackerel, Tuna (both bluefin and dogtooth) and 'samurai salmon'. It was THE best fishing I have ever done! Yes, it was a little bit expensive but after non-stop hits, it was well worthwhile. As avid spear-fishermen, they were able to cater for our needs in that regard too. We were lucky enough to go camping on several different islands (Basalaki, Deka Deka and Weitoa). What an amazing way to wake up every morning.
Upon our return, we were again greeted with smiles and the chef instantly went to task, preparing us an extravagant lunch with our catch.
I truly enjoyed every minute of my stay - thank you - it was the getaway I needed.
