“Worth a visit”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Along with seeing a Kiwi, you actually get to see much of the native birds. The aviary is beautiful and you see Tui up and close.

At 1.30pm (everyday?) you get to see the 2 Kiwi's being fed. It is the highlight of the entire tour.

Very close from Waitomo and I would recommend visiting it!

“See native birds and lizards”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

Really enjoyable place to see many of the native birds and lizards. Plus the chance to see the famous Kiwi birds up close in their nocturnal enclosures.

Thank you for visiting and your feedback. Our tuatara reptiles are a real feature of the Park - they breed here and have survived for over 225 million years....we're doing our bit to continue that legacy!

“Kiwi Watch Night Eco-Tour”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

It was great adventure! We met with our guide (Chris) at 8pm (dusk).
Chris told us that we do not have to rush and stay as long as we want.
We walked to the forest next to the Kiwi house and stayed in kind of shelter and started to watch. We saw 3 Kiwis several times from 1-1,5 meters distance. Very funny birds. We spent about 2-2,5 hours watching the ones. Chris shared with us a lot of interesting facts. I recomend Kiwi Watch Night Eco-Tour to everyone!!

“Keep up the good work looking after the kiwi's!”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

Most of this Bird Bird Park is run with Volunteers, they do a great job looking after many different birds but love to see the kiwi's! only an hour away from Hamilton and a good stop before or after Waitomo caves visit.

“Wonderful place to get a close up look”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

The Kiwi House was on our list of things to do, but not at the top of the list. It was wonderful! Well laid out with an excellent selection of birds to see up close. We stayed for the 1:30 Kiwi feeding and watched, mesmerized. We recommend you put this in your top two "to do" in Otorohanga.
