We were absolutely thrilled by our visit to the Kiwi House. We did both the Twilight Tour and the nightime Kiwi Watch. Paul (the General Manager) on the behind the scenes Twilight Tour was informative, friendly and fun, and we got to see and do some really special things. And Jodie, our guide on the Kiwi Watch, was knowlegable and friendly too. We were certainly not disappointed in the wildlife we got to see... Kiwi (of course), Kaka, Kea, Campbell Island Duck, Tuatara, gecko, morepork, falcons... and more. we absolutley loved it!
It's great just wandering around in your own time, but I would definitely recommend spending a little extra for the Eco Tours - they are brilliant!

I visited with a group of 90 students - broken into two groups. An interesting place that gives people a close encounter with a creature that means so much to New Zealanders. Also enjoyed the teaching session that we had.

we spent ages here, delighted to discover there were so many different species of NZ birds and reptiles to observe, plus lots of information. Particularly enjoyed the tuatara in the huge flight area, and watching the feeding of the kiwi.
