Stayed in unit 239. Had 5 persons in my group. More than enough room, private garage was great.

If you peace and quiet in the hunter region, this place is perfect. Near many wineries as well!

Wifi was spotty though, but hey, head out and explore the wine region!

Since your stay, we have added an additional booster near to the room you stayed in, and updated the antennae coming from the communications room in an ongoing effort to improve our wireless internet capacity.

We stayed two nights, with family in next 4 rooms. The rooms were all very well set out . Balconies for the occasions when the sun chose to shine. The staff were all very friendly from reception thru to waitresses and room attendants. Delightful buffet breakfast from early to 11am to accommodate the late risers. Great selection from cereals and fruits to hot dishes. The evening Room service excellent ( food was still very hot when it arrived). Bed very comfortable. Good TV reception. This was great opportunity for family from interstate to enjoy a great get together in beautiful surroundings. Lovely gardens to enjoy with coffee shops and many interesting boutiques. Bonus -- parking right at your door.

Room tip: our rooms were all good

My husband, daughter and I just got back from a two night stay at this venue and we were bitterly disappointed-to say the least. We had been looking forward to a relaxing getaway and as Accor members we were expecting a lot more. The room was ok except we were on the bottom floor, the outlook was slightly claustrophobic and noisy at times. Speaking of noisy, we were directly underneath a young family who woke us with their every move. When we called to complain the best they could do was assure us this family was checking out. We decided to order room service as it was clear in the welcome note as well as the information booklet in the room that it was available. We waited for over an hour only to be told that they don't deliver. Perhaps this needs to be clarified? Pillows were flat as pancakes as well. Will definitely not be returning or recommending this venue.

Dear SamZiv,

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us at The Vintage.
A couple of points regarding your stay:

- All of our One Bedroom Apartments are located on the ground floor. This allows them to have a private courtyard at the rear. In future if you are wishing for more of an outlook I recommend requesting an upstairs two bedroom apartment which certainly will have the look you are after.

- The restaurant which is part of the clubhouse is not owned or managed by the hotel. The decision to cease delivering room service to the hotel is a very recent one and the replacement pages for the compendiums are still with the printers. I apologise for this not being relayed to you when you made your dinner booking & will be following this up with the F&B Director.

- I remember speaking to your husband in the morning regarding the people upstairs. It was approximately 8:30am when he called to inform us that the guests had woken you up around 6am with them coming-and-going. I would have had no trouble calling the guests to ask them to be mindful of other people in the complex, but as they had checked out 20minutes prior there was not much more we could do. I say this not to make light of the situation, but rather to assure you that the matter had been resolved by the time we were notified.

- Regarding the pillows, thanks to this feedback we have replaced the pillows in your room and are presently conducting an audit to see if there are any others around the property also in need of replacement.

Thank you again for taking the time to comment. I appreciate this experience was not up to the high standard you could expect from The Vintage. If you do change your mind and would like to return, please feel free to contact me directly on imuller@thevintage.com.au

This is our home away from home in the Hunter Valley! We love the modern finishes, the spacious bedrooms, the King size beds, the wonderful showers, the separate bath tubs in each room, the gas fire places, the fully appointed kitchen and the pool.

There is also a great dining table and lounge suite in each apartment, as well as your own spacious balcony with a table and chairs. Another great feature is the outdoor lounge chairs that are normally placed on a separate balcony to the outside dinner table.

This place is just fantastic for unwinding, taking it slow and appreciating everything that the Hunter Valley has to offer. It's centrally located, yet quiet.

Do yourself a favour and stay here!

We stayed for 6 days. The apartment was well maintained with large rooms and very comfortable. The Eco fire place was an unusual feature in the lounge room. There are two pool areas to use both with great large spas. There is also a gym and two tennis courts near the club house. The resort site is located on a vintage golf course.
If you are a golfer or a wine lover this is a great area to visit.
I would recommend this as a short stay or week long stay.

Dear Martin,

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us at Grand Mercure The Vintage.

We are very proud of the product we offer and I'm glad to hear it has hit the mark with you.
All of our Deluxe Two Bedroom Apartments have gas fireplaces and we found it was what the guests staying the One Bedrooms were really missing. We listened to the feedback and now all of our Deluxe One Bedroom Apartments have the Ethanol Fireplaces which is a feature that's been very well received especially during the chilly months.

Thank you again for taking the time to comment and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Vintage soon.
