We recently stayed here on a concert weekend and were delighted that it was not mandatory to book 2 nights as with most other accommodation options in the Hunter Valley. We received a warm welcome from our hostess Julie and her gorgeous Border Collie, we were shown to our room and were delighted with the size, facilities (ensuite), cleanliness and outlook thru the French doors. Afternoon Tea was provided for us and tea and coffee facilities were 24/7. Julie was a great source of information and was happy to arrange anything for you. We were able to catch a bus to the concert from the front gate of the B&B, which was a great option. Breakfast the next morning was to die for with a great selection of fruit salad, yoghurt, cereals, toast, muffins, freshly cooked bacon and corn fritters. The property is located within a 10-15 minute drive from the wineries. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a red balloon deal to go hot air ballooning. The host Julie was super friendly and welcomed us warmly. She showed us around the place and showed us how to use the very important coffee machine. Breakfast was very fresh, and a good selection for a continental breakfast. The mattresses really are VERY comfy. We slept very well. The outdoor area is also really nice to relax in and read a book with a nice glass of hunter semillion. Showers are hot and hard and the room is spacious for a B & B.

Been here a few times before with my girlfriend and we always return, it an amazing place. Very nice rooms with en suites good working showers air con and tv. Very hospitable host , Julie. Coffee machine, biscuits cereal always available. A great breakfast. All you could ever ask from A B & B and more it has beautiful open garden, a nice terrace with tables and chair to enjoy the scenery with a nice bottle of wine. Perfect. Also there is no where else in Hunter as high quality as this for the same price.
And to top it all off a very friendly well behaved Dog names "Mojo",
I highly recommend it to all.

A warm welcome message on the blackboard when we arrived, and a personal letter in our room. Julie gave us an excellent walk around to show us the facilities and how to operate the expresso machine. Julie then offered us driving directions to where we were to attend the wedding we had come to the Hunter for.
In the Morning breakfast was available when we got to the dining room, Bacon, egg and toast cooked for us with cereal, muffins, juice, fruit and cream available as well as tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Julie was very friendly and made you feel like a family member or close friend, offering extra advice on attractions to stop at on the way home. Can highly recommend this little oasis in the Hunter Valley.

Room Tip: book early so you don't miss out

Traveling by myself, I was looking for a base with a bit of luxury, somewhere nice to sit with a glass of wine and close to a great wine tour. I lucked out! Julie is a caring host who made sure I was comfortable and provide a lovely continental breakfast. Sitting overlooking the bush at the start of the day is a wonderful way to begin. It was very reasonably priced. I'd paid the same amount for a soulless motel inRichmond the previous night. Sitting on the deck watching the sunset over the tree tops was great. Jan' Two Fat Blokes wine tour was outstanding (and I've done a lot!)

Rustic charm is the first impression but by the time you engage with the beautiful vineyard setting complete with kangaroos, kookaburras and parrots living along the fringes you will forget about the basic accommodation. The food and wine is stunning and the service is friendly and slow paced. No rush .... enjoy. Lovely owners. Artwork is whimsical and fitting. Love the sounds of the nearby woods as I lay in bed thinking about a last few ejoyable hours.

Me and my girlfriend just had our short holiday in the Hunter Valley and we stayed in the Hunter Valley Bed and Breakfast. Overall experience was fantastic. Rates were truly reasonable and your host, Julie, makes the experience even more memorable with her brand of hospitality. Definitely better than the typical treatment you get from hotel chains. Room was very good, by our standards, with a good sized bed, working showers, and AC. Julie was even gracious enough to book us dinner at the nearby resto, which is just within walking distance from the BnB, and at an amazing steakhouse which provided free pick-up and return to the BnB. As we had no car when we went to the Hunter Valley, we relied mostly on wine tours and Julie's husband Jan is the bloke to go to for an awesome wine tour. I highly recommend this place and I wouldn't have second thoughts on going back.
