We also had a great time at this B&B. Firstly, is an relativley undeveloped island so resorts & extreme luxury are out. The staff were happy, friendly & very helpful. There's a beautiful beach only a short walk away. The rooms are clean & tidy with all usual mod cons. As seemingly the only non-Portugese speaking people on the island the staff at the Pousada were unbelievably helpful, especially Roberta (spelling?). Breakfast & afternoon tea are provided. We took them up on their English speaking tour to get an overall idea of the island & hit some beaches - which was useful. Yes there is a big hill but walking on the island is a given. Yes there is a lot of music at night until quite late - didn't bother us. Its near lots of restaurants. Highly recommended.

We had a great time in this hotel and on Fernando de Noronha.
Don't expect a luxurious property, or island. This is a delightful and rustic place.
The hotel itself is extremely comfortable, and the staff went out of their way to help their only non Portuguese speaking guests at the time we were there, us.
I highly recommend the superior or above room categories, as the standard rooms are dark with small windows.
Breakfasts were lovely, and the complimentary sea food dinner one night was one of our best meals on the trip, with a large grilled banana leaf wrapped fish as the main course.
The nearest beaches are fabulous, but about a 15 minute walk on rough cobble stone paths.
This is not a place for the mobility challenged.
The hotel lent us free beach chairs, beach towels, and an umbrella, which came in very handy on the sun-drenched beaches.

Very good Inn, with large rooms and good bathrooms. Silent air conditioner, large range of TV channels to choose and mini-bar with reasonable prices. Board prices includes breakfast, afternoon coffee break (both with a variety of fruit, juice and bread, with two special afternoon coffee breaks: Tapioca Night and Hot Dog Night), and if you stay more than 4 nights you can have one special dinner called Sollon's Peixada (Fish Stew). A boat ride is also included in the package.
The staff are very friendly and helpful: they can book restaurants, rides, suggest places to go and if you're doing nothing they have great stories to tell you. The only problem is that the Inn is located down the valley, what makes it difficult to reach on foot, especially because of the stones and tree roots. It will be quicker and more comfortable if you rent a car (buggies are very popular there).

Fernando de Noronha is a unique experience and this Pousada is one of the best (a little behind Pousada Maravilha, Zé Maria and Teju-Açu) of the island. A down (or up) hill from the centre of Vila dos Remedios, if affordable choose a Bangalo. It's bigger than standard apartments, with two separated rooms (useful for a family with two teens), wide bathroom, fridge (buy beverages at local market store) and quiet air conditioned. There are two balconies, nice to dry your wet clothes. Free (very) slow internet, breakfast with fruits, tropical juices, tea, cakes, eggs, breads - get early, not everything is replaced. There's also a snack time (5-7pm) with tea, juices, cakes and some specials (tapioca on Tuesdays and hot-dogs on Wednesdays). If you stay for a week or more you'll get 2 free dinners: a Thurday's Solon's (one of the owners) Fish night (one of the best meals of the stay) and a Sunday's Pizza night. Also included is an Aquanaut drive (snorkeling pulled by a boat). Don't forget repellent and sun blockers and don't miss Praia do Sancho, Praia do Leão, Cacimba do Padre, Praia do Bode (natural pool here) and Praia do Sueste. If you like dolphins, wake up early and you'll see hundreds of them at Baia dos Golfinhos (better with a boat). Another tip: get a buggy (kind of jeep) and drive to the sunset at Forte do Boldro, one of the unforgettable views of the trip.
