Had a lovely dinner sitting outside and enjoying the sounds of the town. No menu here - the server just comes out and presents you with the options when you sit down. I had shrimp and my husband had the fish. Both were amazing and on the spicy side (perfect for our tastes!) Make sure to get there earlier than later - we were one of the last couples to be able to eat our night (we came around 7:30pm) and we saw a few people come after us and get turned away because they were out of food. Guess it really is fresh!! :)

The "no menu" experience was enticing and the challenge was getting a table! The chef was very friendly and offered us our options. The food was very good- the best we had!

So far we have found that the more expensive restaurants on Isla Holbox do not live up to their prices.

We were excited for fresh seafood. We've been to other islands where fresh seafood with minimal ingredients is great because it is fresh. We live in a city where from farm to table is a wonderful experience. The "chef" talks a good game but the food does not taste fresh, and it is just not good.

We ended up saying we were not happy with our meal after two bites, and paying for our beers.

We enjoyed a local food truck so much more afterwards.

Quaint little restaurant on a side street off the zocalo. Prix fixe, depending on the day's catch & the chef's imagination. Really great house cocktails, really nice clientele. Chef Erik Winckelmann could charm the pants off an iguana. Our party had a beautiful fish stew, a grilled catch of the day, a grilled shrimp & a marinated flank steak. Just perfect all the way around. Thanks, Chef!
