“Great View, Good Food”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

Looking down on the town square with basketbal field. There is alway activity so there is always something interesting to see. The food is good! Nice traditional dishes with an edge. The experiment with new thing all the time. The staff is good and nice.

One of the most fun restaurants in town!

“Very Good food and service”
Reviewed May 9, 2014 via mobile

A very good restaurant with homemade pasta and other dishes. The food is very good and the dishes are served abundantly. My husband and I didn't finish the food we had ordered, because it was so much.
The owner is a very nice guy and service in General was excellent.

“Wife said her best meal was at Los Pelones”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

Hard to argue with that! She ordered the day's seafood special. I can't actually remember the dish but she raved about it. Cold beer, friendly service, accepted my credit card and I got my favorite Holbox souvenir. Prices a little (just a little) steep compared to some of the smaller places we tried but don't let that worry you. Still a bargain and quite tasty.

15 steps to the best dinner it says on the sign. Sometimes there is truth in advertising.

“A nice restaurant overlooking the Zocalo”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

Los Peleones is an upstairs restaurant overlooking the main square in Holbox. In the evening, the lighting gives the place a very romantic touch. The menu offers mainly typical fish and seafood specialties but also - and this is its main draw - Argentinian style meats, as well as home-made pastas with unique home-made sauces. I had the Argentinian sausage dish. Lots of tasty and not overly spiced sausages cooked in a tomato-based sauce served with lots of tasty potatoes. Fantastic! The restaurant also features Argente wines (Love that malbec!) by the bottle or by the glass, at reasonable prices.
The second-storey location gives you a great viewpoint to watch all the action in and around the main square. I think this is one of the nicest place to have dinner in Holbox.
