“Good people watching”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2012

Restaurant is on square so people watching is amazing. The inside is interesting.
Ordered avocado and tomato salad (thought I was getting avocado soup...oops...must practice my Spanish more) and it was delicious with good balsamic vinegar. Big drinks and they were great. We ordered burritoes and they were delicious--2 with different salsa but they were COLD and there were only about 10 people there. Very disappointing. Would go back just for drinks. On an aside, thought it was a little overpriced.

“Very good food and service.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2012

Dona Lupita has created a wonderful corner restaurant complete with great food, drinks and artwork all dedicated to Frida Kahlo. She is closed on Wednesdays but open all other days of the week. There is also a nice selection of jewelry and skin care products for sale. Comida sabroso a precios razonables.

“A Little Gem on the Corner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2012

We visited this establishment twice during our stay; once for dinner and once for a mid-morning drink (non-alcoholic). We sat outside for dinner and had a wonderful time people watching. The street was blocked off for a young girls quinceanara so we got to watch people come and go fromt the festivities. The food was okay. We returned the following day for drinks and had a real treat. La Isla serves a series of mixed fruit drinks. I played it safe with a limonada, but my wife had a Holboxian made up of several fruits and it was great. The best part of dining here is getting a chance to check out the eclectic mix of art inside the restaurant.
