What a lovely Bed and Breakfast! The Inn Keeper greeted us with a warm welcome and was able to give us a lot of information on touring the island. It was centrally located to Anne of Green Gables, Avenolea, Preserve CO, and the beach was only about a 10 min drive! The room we stayed in was immaculately clean, warm, and spacious. (the bathroom even had a hot tub!) Breakfast was delish! They served a hot main dish which was enough to fill me, but on top of that they served fresh toast, an assortment of home made jams and jellies, yogurt, fresh fruit, and oatmeal. Thank-you for a wonderful stay and making us feel so welcome! We will def. be back!

Room Tip: The "rose leaf" room is the one we stayed in, very quite, in the corner and in the back, and has the hot tub!

This B&B and the grounds were immaculate. Beautiful flower gardens. The hosts were warm and really cared about our comfort and our ability to relax. After a restful night we had breakfast at the inn. The presentation and our breakfast had all the details of a 5-star resort. Wonderful options for a filling breakfast. A hot dish of eggs, cheeses and potatoes was fresh and served piping hot. They had additional options of yogurt, fresh fruit, whole grain toast with home-made jams and assorted beverages.
The rooms were so comfortable and relaxing. The bed had high-end linens and the room décor was perfect.
We will be back to tour this breathtaking island and "The Victoriainn" will be our resting place.
Thanks for everything

This house was beautiful. They were currently doing renovations on part of the first floor so we didn't get to see the entire community space. What we did see was lovely. The house was well maintained and clean. When we first arrived the gentleman was very polite. The only down side was the inn keepers weren't available after 6pm. We ran out of toilet paper and needed more linens. We even tried calling the front desk with no luck. The breakfast was ok, but not very filling. I think we might be a little harsh on the breakfast because the B&B we had just came from gave us such a filling breakfast and everything was homemade. Here, they made a nice small entree but the rest was boxed cereals and packaged yogurt. It didn't have the personal touch we expected. Overall, it was a nice place and when we saw the inn keepers they were nice, but service lacked.

Leighton B, Owner at Victoria Inn, responded to this reviewResponded October 25, 2013

I'd like to thank you for your comments. We appreciate your business and enjoyed having you as guests. We regret that you were disappointed in the level of service that we provide and would like to address your concerns.

On the night that you stayed with us, we were in the midst of renovating a private area of the inn. No guest or common areas were affected by the renovations, however, the door to the private area was ajar until the paint was dry.

We are happy that we were able to accommodate your early check-in and also able to provide you with Blu-Ray movies, ice bucket and wine glasses in the evening. It is standard practice for us to provide two rolls of toilet paper, and one set of towels per guest for a one night stay. We apologize that we did not hear you ring the bell for service later in the evening, as we are available until 9:00 pm in the off-season and until 10:00 pm during the summer.

We're proud of the breakfasts we provide for our guests and pay special attention to presentation, nutrition, and quality. The homemade entree is always prepared fresh and served hot out of the oven each morning. In addition to that entrée, we also prepare a fresh fruit presentation, yogurt, whole grain toast, an assortment of homemade jams, cereals, hot oatmeal, juice, milk, coffee, teas, and hot chocolate.

Victoria Inn is a small, family run business and success to us is knowing that our guests have enjoyed themselves and that we've contributed in some small way to a memorable stay. We love this island and so enjoy sharing that love with our guests.

One again we apologize that you were disappointed in your stay.

Sincerely,
Leighton & Camellia

We have stayed for 11 days at this bed and breakfast and it is absolutely fantastic. The décor is wonderful, grounds are pleasureable to the eye and breakfast food is divine. We would come back in a flash if we were to visit this beautiful province again. Sincerely Don and Carol Hiscock, Olds AB

Excellent place to stay: clean, friendly, ample breakfast and good value for money. Great location, too, within walking distance of the business district of Kensington.

Kensington is very close to St. Mar's Church, where the Indian River Music Festival is held each summer. It's worth going just to see this beautiful historic building!
