We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was cozy and quaint and had everything needed for our stay. The property is well maintained and we appreciated that pets were welcome. The owners are attentive and respond immediately to any issues (in our case TV was out after a storm) and are genuinely interested in ensuring you have a great experience. The laundry room was an added bonus and the view added greatly to our relaxation. We did find the step a little high at the front door, but that is something easily fixed. Thank you to Chad and Nikki for making our 3 days on PEI a wonderful experience

These are good basic cottages that are well looked after by the attentive owners: Chad and Nicki Howatt. The cottages are found at the end of a 2km red dirt road that passes by farmer's fields of potatoes or clover. The cottages have plenty of space for young kids and those young at heart to run around, a couple of play structures, horse shoe pits and other games. The cottages are close enough that you meet all your neighbours but far enough apart to have a bit of privacy. The beach is steps away and a recently renovated staircase helps you navigate the red sandstone cliffs to beach that is cosy at high tide and expansive at low tide. Excellent spot to watch the sunset or just gaze out at the Northumberland Straight. The cottages are a short drive from the Confederation Bridge, Summerside and the Chelton Beach Provincial Park.

I stayed in a three-bedroom cottage for labour day weekend with my sister and brother-in law. We drove over from Halifax mainly to enjoy the warm-water beaches, and we were not disappointed. Our cottage was pretty basic, but was clean and had all the necessary amenities (fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, towels, linens, etc). What made it really special is that it was situated just meters away from a beautiful red-sand beach that was lovely for swimming. The water was warm and shallow, so it would be a great place to take kids, too. This is more of a quiet, rural location, but supermarkets etc are only about fifteen minutes away. I would recommend shoreline cottages to someone who is looking to relax, spend time outside, and enjoy the beach. The owner is really nice and accommodated an early check-in for us. I would definitely stay here again.

Let me first saying Chad goes out of his way for his customers. I didn't have a frying pan. I asked the man if he had one, next day he shows up with one. Service! I asked the man if he had blankets, bug spray, coffee machine, and a wifi extender....next day I had it! What I'm saying is, this guy cares about the people renting from him. I highly recommend getting wifi extender. Our phones were $5 a day and $1 a minute since we're Americans so we heavily relied on the internet to skype family and to look up local places. Ask for a wifi-extended it made a HUGE difference and it was just essential for a good time.
The view is gorgeous in cottages 6, 7, and 12. No obstructions and just a perfect view of the ocean. Has the nice little kitchen (stove, sink), a shower, a little living room with satellite. Usually I don't like to watch TV but I got a kick out of watching CBC.
Now a few things to know. This place for the price is awesome (especially off season) however, you do need to come equipped with a few things to have a good time. A cookie sheet if you want to cook in the oven and oven mitts. Also, we had expected their to be more restaurants to try but I recommend bringing your own food (especially beef from the U.S.!) because while there is a small little breakfast place nothing is close by or within 20 minutes. The Island has a quota system so a lot of food is local so buy farm fresh corn and farm fresh egg's, you'll be doing yourself a favor. It's delicious! Also bring beach shoes or Sandals! The beach is beautiful and sandy but in some parts it's very rocky and you're feet aren't going to be happy with you if you don't bring something to protect them on the rocky ground! Also mosquito's and houseflies are annoying...not his fault but bring an electric fly swatter and maybe some sort of anti-mosquito stuff (he has a garlic spray he provides but I'm not sure if that works...I think Lemon Balm or Picaridin bug spray would be the most effective for your protection. If you want to do laundry bring quarters. He does have a system to easily change it though, but I'll leave that to him.
In conclusion: Chad gives great service to his customers. The view from cottage 6 is an beautiful ocean view completely unobstructed. The price is killer for off season. Bring the right supplies to have the best time. Bring your own food, good eateries are few and far between. This place is worth it. Great value!

Really nice location - great views of the ocean! Cottage was fully stocked with dishes, appliances and a brand new gas grill - everything we needed! WiFi worked great and there was a nice TV. There is a small playground area for kids and a horseshoe pit. Would be a fantastic place to stay with kids! There are fire pits at each cottage, although it was too chilly to sit around a fire the nights we were there. Only negative - there was no dishwasher detergent and I'm not sure if the dishwasher worked or not anyway? We just washed dishes by hand.
There is no grocery store nearby, so you need to bring whatever food items you need when you check in.
Owners Chad and Nicki were very nice too! We would definitely recommend a stay at these cottages in PEI!

We went there with our dog and had lot´s of fun. We did some cooking and the kitchen has everything you will need. There where 3 bedrooms and enough space for a family. I can not recommend the laundry, I don´t know if your cloth will be more dirty after washing them there.
