“Great Hole in the Wall Restaurant”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

The Heritage Coffee House is a great place to go for an excellent tasting meal. They have the best soups in the area. The prices are very reasonable. You can get a soup and sandwich for lunch for under $8. I call them a hole in the wall because they look like a regular house with a garden front. They're located just off the main drag on Pioneer Ave in Agassiz BC. I definitely recommend you try the Heritage Coffee House.

“Rude”
Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

We read the excellent reviews and thought this would be a wonderful place to go, however as soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a scowl from the lady that worked there. She did not greet us at all. After inquiring about the excellent baked goods we had heard about, she paused momentarily and said "just what you see here", and pointed to a few muffins and cookies; there was nothing in the baked goods display case. We said we were going to take a minute and we moved to the side to let the next person order and she continued to glare as we moved to other side of the counter. We decided we had no desire to give this place our business after experiencing the hostile service.

We then went to Oasis coffee shop nearby, where we were treated with great service and great coffee. I would not recommend Heritage coffee house; you are better off going to Oasis which is just down the road.

“Walk away so enlighted everytime!”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

The mother/daughter team who owns this restaurant make sandwiches out of the freshest and juiciest meats like their Montreal smoked beef Mmm. They have a big selection of loose leaf teas...which are sure to please but the hit of this little humble comfy eatery is their unique and mouth watering daily soups, like roasted red pepper, spiced pumpkin, stuffed pepper, Tia Chicken, Curried Chicken, Potato Bacon, clam and also seafood chowder and now their added freshly made salads Mmmm. I am a local and get to eat here as often as I can..It has great daily specials and great prices...and this summer they have been making homemade ice teas too..A spot not to be missed! Everyone would enjoy what this lil hot spots but its only open till %pm so get there before the soup is sold out...They also have daily baked goods I would love to try but am allergic to eggs...their service is friendly and excellent!

“Love this place”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

I was taken to this small restaurant for the first time by a girlfriend who lives in Agassiz and was astonished by the good value meal we had. We each had the homemade mushroom soup with a reuben sandwich and coffee - total cost less than $15. After that day we went several more times for breakfast, this time with our menfolk, and enjoyed very reasonably priced breakfasts with yummy sausage, home made hashbrowns (kudos on those!) and eggs however you liked them plus the usual choice of toast and preserves. Lucky Agassiz residents who can pop in here whenever they get the urge, it's a gem!
