I was blown away by this Bed and Breakfast. It is surrounded by gorgeous mountains and scenery, the lodge is breathtaking inside and out, there are horses outside and it is just all around gorgeous.
I was in the Bella Room and it was gorgeous, very spacious, had a fireplace and made you feel at home. There was also freshly baked coffee cake waiting for us when we arrived (which was delicious!) and having a slice of that in the main living room in front of the wood burning fireplace (might I add while looking at a clear sky FULL of stars) was truly magical. They have a massage chair too and even have a telescope for star gazing in the main living room area.
The lodge is just so breathtaking, and Heather is just amazing. She ensures you are comfortable and well taken care of.
The beds were really comfortable (quite firm FYI), but provided a great sleep. The only downside was that the Bella room was quite cold, so we had to crank the fireplace which warmed it up within about an hour or so.
Breakfast was GREAT and I mean GREAT. There were several people there so it was served buffet style which was really nice.
Fresh Coffee, tea and orange juice, a freshly baked egg dish (kind of like a frittata) with veggies, potatos and cheese, homemade mini banana loaves, little cinnamon roles, yoghurt and fruit salad (with GREAT fruits! yum), fresh whipped cream, a toasting station with whole grain or white bread and various bagels with your choice of butter, cream cheese, jams, peanut butter etc. The amazing coffee cake was out again as well.
It was truly amazing! It also helped that the sun was out! Eating at the long dining table was really nice and everyone was STUFFED by the time they were done.
I would LOVE to go back to this location. It is a wonderful getaway and perfect for either a solo traveller, couples, a girls weekend away, family retreat whatever! If you are heading to Harrisson Hot Springs, Agassiz or the area, stay here, I think it is your best choice!!!

Eagle Tree lodge is one of those amazing, not often found, gems! I have had the priviledge of staying there 2 twice, once with my family and once with friends. The lodge is breathtaking, the views are amazing and the beds.... ahhhhhh, the beds... to die for! You all but sink into these beds, the sheets are soft to match, and the . duvets are heavy enough to give you an "oh so cozy" sleep!

Heather, who is managing the B&B is very welcoming and puts on a breakfast that is superb! She is really a fantastic addition to the lodge. She is definately a wonderful hostess who makes you feel right at home as soon as you arrive.

The lodge itself is situated in what was once a bird sanctuary of sorts. The wildlife viewing is great, and if you are a bird enthusiest, don't forget your binoculars!! The deck is great for sitting out on and just soaking in the sounds and smells of forest and water! What a way to relax. Everything in the lodge seems to be designed just to both impress and relax the guests. We definately found it to be so for us! I have had the priveledge of staying in the Bella suite and also the bunk room. The Bella is fabulous, my normally fussy husband had nothing but rave reviews! Beautifully appointed and luxurious. The bunk room, perfect for a girls (or guys) get away, is also very comfortable. Although it seems more designed as a kids room, all the ladies I travelled with were more than happy with the accomadation we shared! The lodge hasn't scrimped on the beds even in there.

The area has lots to offer in the way of farm tours, tasting local cheeses, stopping for lunch at the all organic Limbert Farms, checking nearby Kilby, heading to the lake in Harrison hot springs, and fun touristy shopping in the area. All in all, I would say that Eagle Tree Lodge is something you don't want to miss!!

This B&B is located a bit off the beaten path, and that's good thing! Very relaxing atmosphere, beautiful accommodations, attentive host, all in a wonderful setting. We enjoyed a tasty home-cooked omelet out on the deck for breakfast (provided by Daniel) after a very restful night. If you're traveling in late summer, look for all of the blackberries growing beside the road to the B&B ... very tasty treats to enjoy while walking down the road, soaking in the scenery.
The B&B is about 2 hours from the Vancouver airport ...

When prices at nearby Harrison Hot Springs went sky high for the weekend, I reluctantly looked at places further afield. I was surprised at the pictures of this new (as of September, 2009) B&B and called for further info. The live-in caretaker Dan was so helpful and and knowledgeable, I decided to make reservations.
Upon arrival that weekend, my partner and I were surprised at the quality and beauty of the B&B and its quiet rural surroundings. Ahhh. We were suddenly much more relaxed just after crossing the threshold. Dan and his wife were the consummate hosts, and also great cooks for the breakfast. We upgraded to the Cheam View Suite and were not disappointed.
If there is anything at all to complain about, it is that on a super sizzling hot day, it is hard to cool such a large lofty structure and it was quite warm. In their defense, they made an appointment with the a/c company ASAP to look into the matter. We also were shown the other large suite before those guests arrived, and as it was separate over the carriage house, it had its own a/c unit and was quite cool. Our suite had the bonus balcony where we could sit in the breezy shade and overlook the water/ river across the road. Delightful.
Beds and linens were plush and ever so comfortable. Room was more than spacious with a huge jacuzzi tub. Watching the flat screen TV was easier from bed than from the leather sofa that faced the water. I wish we had more time to avail ourselves of the books in the cozy library just outside our room tolearn more about the area.
Instead, we drove to Harison Lake and later to Kilby Beach (fun!) - on Dan's wonderful suggestion- on the Fraser River to enjoy the sun and water. Like he said, we could enjoy the crowds at the lake, or the folks on the river, then come back to the peace and quiet at the end of the road where we were saying. Perfect advice!
Bonus was meeting the other wonderful guests the next morning and creating new friendships.
Besides the bucolic location of this delightful hidden gem, local farm tours, old town Kilby, and other nearby attractions besides harrison Hot Springs warrant a return trip SOON.
