There isn't Much to add that hasn't already been said. This is tucked away in Frenchwomen facing the harbor. It's almost displaced - we walked in and there were just a few tables, all full and a few people at the bar. It immediately felt like you were in a Parisian bistro tucked away on some small street. People were just snacking and drinking but we were a group of 6 off dinner. The wine list is well appointed, service attentive and fun. We tried a variety of starters And main plates, but the standouts were the mussels and escargots along with the perfectly warm French bread that I couldn't get enough of. Great sitting outside and just enjoying the evening. After having hotel food for days this is a great find and I look forward to coming back.

“A hidden gem”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

This is a small restaurant in Frenchtown, and hard to find paking nearby during busy times. It's SO worth it, though. The food is great, and always interesting. Nothing boring about their menus. Their fish may be whatever was caught that day. The early bird appetizers are a great way to sample a lot of stuff for minimal expense.

“Should have went here first! Would have ate there every night!”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

The night before out taxi driver, "David" said that we should try Epernays. We are so happy we did. We were looking around in Charlotte Amalie, but since everything was starting to close up around 4pm since the cruise ships were leaving we decided to head over to Epernays. It was my bright idea to walk. We walked up to the restaurant and and walked in.The owner greeted us. I wasn't at all paying attention to the time, since we had just walked a LONG way and he let us know they weren't open yet. We apologized, and asked if we could just sit. Instead of turning us away. he was more than happy to sit us and ask for our drink orders and than finished getting the restaurant ready. We ordered bruschetta to start and I had the steak and frites while my husband had the chicken penna pasta. Since everything was so good we continued to order a cheese platter and for dessert we ordered the bread pudding. My husband also had the best drinks of the tip. Dark and Stormys... but they used fresh ginger! The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was amazing and we very much enjoyed this unique restaurant. It is a must try.

“St. Thomas Favorite”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

This Frenchtown Bistro is the best. On vacation we ate here twice, once with my sister, then we brought the kids. The food, service and drinks are fabulous. The owner, waiter, and bartender are very friendly and inviting. It is a small and intimate restaurant. Great feel inside. The Seafood Medley, Steak et Frites, Escargot are very good. I love the Mahi Mahi, very fresh. The watermelon volcano drinks were wonderful. You have the option of eating inside or outside which is nice. We cannot wait to return to St. Thomas to eat here again.

“The best meal of our vacation, hands down!”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

We decided to dine at Epernay after walking past it the previous night after a sub par experience at a neighboring restaurant and let me tell you, it was amazing.
Our service was the best experience that we had on the island, I believe our server was Fernando? We ordered a seafood pasta dish that was great, but the real star was the brisket, 9 hours and it literally melted in your mouth. Thanks again Chef Carl!
The wine list was spectacular and reasonably priced and my friends enjoyed the Absolute vodka specials that were easily the best deal of the week.
For me the real shocker was the scotch selection, and Mike the owner was incredibly knowledgable in helping me chose a scotch.
Marjorie, the adorable bartender wasn't pushy at all when it came to closing time even though there were only 3 patrons and they had no problem calling us a cab.
We will definitely be back! Check this place out on your first day and you may eat every meal here!
Thanks again Epernay, it was the perfect way to end a great week.
